A few years back my daughter overheard some Hebrew in a queue to a museum in the English Midlands, and she nudged me to ask….. ‘Are you from Israel?’ “Yes”, *guardedly* ‘Well, I used to live there’ Turned out they were from near the kibbutz I’d lived on. Lovely moment.

I remember growing up- it’s wasn’t always safe to say we were Iranians so we used a different nationality. Iranians were often villainised, trough no fault of their own. To my Israeli friends, this will pass. And I’m so sorry you have to face this on top of your trauma

I was in paris with a friend and we spoke hebrew at a shop . One women come to us and said are you from israel? Whispering It was hard to hear her. Probably she didn’t felt comfortable. But she said only good things and that she stand with israel always .

Israelis are the only one to have security at check in of el al flights . I also noticed they try as much as possible to put the check in far from the rest of the flights. But when you enter el al flight you really feel safe and home
