@MrRichProfessor @BotPhilosophyQ Life is not about who will remember you in 300 years. I don't care. Life is You, your unique personality, your philosophy, your love, your actions towards the world. And how you walk through this life - as a person with honor and valor, or as a piece of sh#it. That's the point

@MrRichProfessor You can have everlasting life, but he is correct in the worldly sense you will be forgotten.

I've enjoyed a few of your pieces before, but this is the worst piece ever. No one should take this "advise" and follow it. I agree that life's short and everyone shall die. Happiness is also important, but, what's the sacrifice you're offering? What's the path to achieving true happiness? Shouldn't people aspire to live a purposeful life? Shouldn't people aspire to make great contributions to solving humanity's problems - which require high level seriousness and focus? It also leads to being remembered for generations to come, but requires a lot of sacrifice and victory against several odds. What greater happiness is there than that? Wouldn't it be wonderful to go against several obstacles in life and come out victorious? If you're facing a brutal enemy in a battle whose victory brings great enjoyment, would you just give up because the enemy is stronger and powerful? Would oppression under the enemy make you feel good because you didn't want to struggle against a stronger opponent? This fake advice is what makes people content with mediocrity and keep living unfulfilled lives. This is what has diminished people's will to pursue greater meaning in life over the years. Good advice would be showing people how to successfully navigate the mountains they face in life. It would help telling people how to cope with the stress and problems that come with pursuit of a greater, meaningful life. People should learn how to enjoy the struggle and fight until they finally emerge victorious. If one sacrifices future long-term enjoyment over short term boosts in dopamine, they become useless and lose focus. They avoid doing greater things because greater things demand sacrifice, they demand pain in exchange, for a while. Would you be happy to be a person who just lived and died? No positive contribution at all to your own life, no positive contribution to your lineage, no positive contribution to your community, no positive contribution to anything; would that make you happy? All this because you didn't want to face the challenge and you just wanted to relax and enjoy for the sake of your "mental health". Would you be happy when you look at such a life? When you realise that you wasted your years and you're now a useless old person who would have done great but didn't because you wanted to enjoy and didn't want to face the problems; would that be fulfilling?
