This AI coding startup just raised $105M—but their product doesn’t work. Here’s why 🧵(thread):

1/ Google Sign-in is broken. Their AI told me to “add localhost as an authorized redirect URL for OAuth” (min: 8:02). But this is a cloud-based app builder—there’s no local development. So that's just not going to work.

2/ Supabase integration is a mess. In theory, Supabase is great—but it’s external. Keeping your app and database in sync requires manual code intervention (min: 2:36). Expect constant errors, buggy migrations, and a risk of your database being paused if your app goes inactive for just a week. If you want 24/7 uptime, you’ll need another subscription.

3/ Buttons that don’t work. The UI looked polished, but none of the buttons functioned (min: 6:30). This isn’t a one-time issue—it’s a pattern.

4/ Meanwhile, @_calebsakala’s Lazy AI: - Built Google Sign-in in seconds with no manual setup. - Spun up a SQLite database instantly without needing external services. (both happen at min: 4:25)

5/ Lazy AI doesn’t stop at just creating pretty UIs—it ensures everything works. Throughout this 30+ minute video, @_calebsakala never had to ask Lazy AI to make the buttons functional. It just worked.

6/ Software that actually works. Every day, we hear stories from users frustrated with AI coding tools that fail to deliver on their promises. If you’re a real user trying to build something functional, is the solution. This video proves the difference.

My followers just copped this for only $1 (proof in comments)🚨 Follow for more price errors, they go fast! Just like this one...

Innovation takes time and effort! Thanks for this informative thread.

Pretty wild they raised that much! Clearly, their pitch game is working even if the product isn’t.

That's a wild ride! It's crazy how funding can outpace actual results.

Functional > fancy. Lazy AI gets it.
