In my opinion (nearly 60 years of living on and in SA beaches). The current sea life deaths is due to Adelaide city not having a significant rainfall for over 18 months. Then receiving good rain that washed toxic pollutants into the sea. The drought caused the problem, not climate change. There was an algal bloom off the Fleurieu Peninsula cause by Queensland flood waters entering the ocean from the Murray mouth during a hot still summer. This is now finished thanks to the winter weather. Dredging of the Murray mouth should be stopped in summer and allow flood waters to fill the Coorong which then filters the flood water though the sand dunes. Do not flush the Murray out into the ocean in summer. Children in SA are now scared of their beaches and ocean. The media, the government, the Greens have created hysteria over something that will correct itself naturally. Congratulation's on another unnecessary hysterical theory to create depression on our youth.

We've seen algal blooms before, and as unpleasant for some life as they might seem, we'll see algal blooms again. The algae may well be asking the question of where all these boney creatures came from. Bones just aren't natural.
