They are prevented from entering Palestine because they have the incorrect religion / ethnicity. Whereas me, an American Jew, who may or may not speak a word of Hebrew or Arabic, may or may not know anyone in the country, have no family connections, I have a "birthright" to go live there because it's my "homeland."
