This anaconda lives isolated in a 100-meter-deep hole called “Buraco das Araras” (Macaw Hole) in Brazil. It was first spotted in 2017, and biologists still don’t know how it got there 🦜🐍

if i had to guess, it probably slithered down there.

>biologists still don’t know how it got there Probably something to do with gravity I'd imagine.

Snake just wanted a better view of the macaws, can't blame it.

It fell down

I’m no biologist, but I’m thinking he crawled down. You know, cause he’s a snake. 🤷🏻♀️

The confusion is anacondas aren’t dry area type of snakes they need like a pond or a nice source of water near them that’s why they’re usually by the rivers in the forest the fact that it’s down there n still at a healthy size and weight is astonishing but it didn’t climb down 😂

The reason this doesn't make sense is because anacondas typically live around water.

Well it either got down there itself or when it was small a bird tried to take it and it fell from the birds tallons in to the hole.

Determination.

It can climb trees. Thats how it go there, there’s literally fucking trees right next to the walls.

Maybe the need to help it out

The camera don’t do it justice of how big that fkn thing is. The big leaves on the left are 15-24” wide on average.

Biologists can’t understand how things fall into holes?

A man made a swimming harness for his fish that cannot swim due to its illness.

They really don't know how something could have fallen into the hole?

Nature always finds a way 🐍🌿 A mystery entry, a perfect microclimate, and one very content anaconda—equal parts science puzzle and reminder that ecosystems don’t need our permission to thrive.

It got there on its belly for sure 👍

Uber?

I know how it got there, it slithered.

I bet it built a snake gyrocopter that it could control by flexing and contracting its slithery little snake muscles and accidentally crashed it in that hole because it had one too many glasses of wine with dinner at Outback Snakehouse. But I’m no scientist.

How it got there? This can't be a serious post

Had to have slid.

Forget that, what’s the phone’s zoom camera?

🐉be like :

It fell!

It walked there?😭

Feed it some buns

I want chicken nuggets

Maybe gravity

NASA scientists have found a secret tunnel hidden beneath with escalators built with same technology used in the moon by ancient aliens!

It parachuted down

If it climbed in, respect. If it was born there… whole different level of nature’s chaos.

Leave it alone

O melhor palpite dos biólogos eh que ela foi arrastada por alguma enchurrada, comum na região em algumas épocas do ano.
