And yes it was rendered on @rendernetwork as always! Literally wouldn't have been possible in time without it!

I have a professional question: (with a long intro) :) I couldn't look at my own work without spotting flaws or things I think I could have done better. I even taught students that there is a "go to market" time in the process, where you stuff isn't perfect or as you envisioned, but is good enough and you need to go to market. (here's the question) How do YOU decide when and where that point on the timeline is?

Really good question and I don't know how to articulate the answer. I work very fast and as long as I get to 80 or 90% satisfied I call it and move on. I also like getting paid and while I have very high standards, I'm not crippled by perfectionism. Any idea I have could be tweaked ad nauseum and improved upon forever, but I get bored in that phase thankfully and there's a threshold I cross where to me it's "good enough" and to the general public it's amazing. So basically, if your taste and standards exceed most other people's then you can let go of some of the ultra tweaky shit that takes 100% more time and would add maybe 10% extra goodness. On the other hand, I have infinite respect for those who love to work on a single still for a month or two and perfect it to mindblowing levels of detail. Looking at you @planetzomax !

Here's the chart i used to explain this conversation to my students when i taught my craft. A) is too rough/broken/unprofessional C) you've taken too long and your client or your boss won't be happy and may not pay you. B) a "reasonable point" at which they're willing to give you money. --/-- The maths I told them (students) == the 50/50 rule == It takes 50% of your time to get a project 80% complete as it's mostly bulk stuff. It takes 50% of your time to get a project the last 20% complete, as yer dealing with logistics and fine tuning etc. So your 80-90% satisfied works here !!!

love this!!
