I am tempted to say Justin has made saying "sorry" an art-form. We've had years of apologies - and inaction or repeat offending... It rather reminds me of the story of the little boy who cried "wolf" one too many times....!

@bishopSarahM Utterly dreadful judgement. Tone-deaf is the least of it. What a fool.

@bishopSarahM Agreed, he showed zero compassion, remorse or self awareness. He should be ashamed of himself but you get the feeling he's not. He's only sorry for himself.

@AllisonPearson @bishopSarahM A disgusting speech from an odious man.

@bishopSarahM 'If you pity anyone pity my poor diary secretary'...not the real victims. 'There comes a time if you are technically leading a particular institution or area of responsibility...' then goes on to make a joke, just take a look at all the men laughing along. Sickening.

@bishopSarahM So, because he is ”technically a leader” of the church he had to resign “whether one is personally responsible or not..” Basically, it’s not my fault but I’m doing the noble thing…

@AllisonPearson @bishopSarahM No remorse whatsoever! He’s a disgrace!

@bishopSarahM Eton is not a good preparation for an empathic life. We should know that by now. @PiersCross1 @SeenandheardUK @suzannezeedyk @WyndhamWallace

@bishopSarahM And the Bishops who were smiling along are as equally disgraceful - they are not people of faith. The Bishop of Londons reaction sums up decent thinking people.

@bishopSarahM Full of arrogance & self pity, not an ounce of sadness, sympathy or humanity for the victims! So much for a "man of God"! Disgusting!
