Dr Gil was a great golfer.

1st time I heard the metal wood it was Dr Gill trying out drivers and 3 woods on the practice area of the Congressional Country Club during the Kemper Open. Late 1980's!!! He had 15-20 clubs out there

Trivia: first person to reach double digits under par at the us open. Then proceeded to vomit it away.
