This basic rule is unknown to 90% of drivers! When joining a main road you must stop, and give way to main road traffic before joining, because Main road traffic has right-of-way. People misunderstand the concept of 'free left' and think they have a right to merge forcibly! #Roadsafety

In India patience is in huge shortage. When joining the roadway you are supposed to wait/ yield to traffic flowing on the main road before you can join safely. They have right-of-way. What is your permissible waiting period after which you barge in? 10 seconds, 20, 30? Suggestion: As long as it takes. If you can't find a safe gap to make right just make left turn (easier) go till next junction make a U-turn and come back. #Roadsafety

This driver with the POV turning left says the right of way belongs to his car. The car coming from the opposite direction is turning right and proceeds to merge in front of the car turning left and takes the right of way. I looked, there is no yield sign for the car turning right. Different takes on this - A Dmv instructor said the right hand turn has to wait till it’s clear because they have a shoulder merge with a median in the way. If the median wasn’t there, the left hand turn has to wait. But a professional CDL driver with decades of experience said with an open green light both ways, ( unless the right turn has a yield ) the left turn will ALWAYS yield to straight or right turning traffic. ALWAYS. What do you think? Who has the right of way? The car turning right or the car turning left?

Miles Stoker road closure : Sinkhole due to illegal mining activity The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has, with immediate effect, closed one lane of Miles Stoker Road in the Roodepoort direction due to a sinkhole which has developed because of illegal mining activity in the area, including tunnelling beneath the road surface. This man driving, trying to find his way back to the main road when he sees something on the left side of the road, when he tries to drive off he can hear it scratch at his door and try to grab the door handle. This lady lives out in the country. Her house is down a long gravel dirt road. She said that the residents there have imposed a 10 mph speed limit. This delivery driver coming up behind her, went speeding down the road according to her. So, she is in her golf cart and driving 10 mph to slow him down on his way out. She said it’s a respect issue. Many people said she has no right to do that. She says she owns the easement rights and the road is a private easement and other nigh it’s live down that road as well. Other drivers commented that all her packages in the future would be dropped off at the beginning of the road if it was their route. What do you think? Do you think she has the right to demand these drivers go 10 mph? Or do you think these drivers should stop delivering down that road and all packages should be dropped off at the beginning of it?
