1. You never let a child jump with something in their mouth. 2. You don't have more than one child on at a time. The rebound from a second person is what breaks bones. 3. You should have spotters or a net around the trampoline to prevent falls.

I remember working at a restaurant when a customer wandered into the kitchen. One of the waitresses recognized he was choking and did the heimlich maneuver. The guy said he was looking for the restroom, not wanting to draw attention to himself. Good thing he went to the wrong way

Thankfuy her training of the heimlich manuver kicked in. Patting on the back risks getting the object further impacted in someone's throat. Everyone needs proper training in CPR.
