Donald Trump on why "working at a relationship" is the wrong advice: Larry King asks Donald and Melania what makes their marriage work. Donald says he doesn't consider himself a workaholic because he genuinely loves what he does — and then explains why he refuses to apply that same effort to his marriage. "I work very hard from early in the morning till late in the evening," he says. "I don't want to go home and have to work at a relationship." It's his parents: "It's like my mother and father, they were married 63 years. I've always heard you have to work at a good relationship. My father didn't work at a good relationship. He went home, he had dinner, he went to bed, he took it easy, he watched television. My mother did the same thing. She cooked him dinner. And it was just one of those things. It wasn't work." He pushes back directly on the conventional wisdom: "I always heard, you have to work, work, work at a relationship… a relationship, we have to work at it. In my opinion, doesn't work. So maybe I'm wrong." Donald and Melania met at a New York Fashion Week party in September 1998. He was supposed to be meeting a different supermodel that night, but spotted Melania sitting next to her and told the introducer to forget it. They dated for five years before getting engaged. His pitch for why it worked: "We literally have never had an argument or forget about the word fight. We never even had an argument. We just are very compatible." Melania describes the same dynamic from her side. She doesn't try to pull him away from his work ("Saturdays, Sundays, he's playing golf, he's working all the time") and she doesn't see that as a problem. "It's his passion. He loves it. It doesn't bother me. I don't want to change him. I don't want to say, come home and be with me. I want to give him a space. And I think that's very important in the relationship."

Two years ago, my client and BROTHER ⚡️Nick Sweeney ⚡️ was: "in the depths of depression, anxious all the time" & stuck in his own head Today: ✅ He's the founder of "Coherence" - a breathwork app clearing $22k in July ✅Has 150k +followers ✅Wakes up every morning loving his life ✅ Lives in a new state of embodied PRESENCE He called our work together "the best investment I've ever spent in my entire life" Because before our work together he knew he valued: - Living in the present moment - Operating from FLOW not force - Mastering his inner state & living from his authentic expression But he was stuck in the lost in the backwoods of his mind... And couldn't find a path out no matter how much self-help he consumed... Or achievements he unlocked (He's an NCAA D1 Champ) We radically upgraded his Inner O.S Got rid of all the malware & bloatware (Limiting beliefs & B.S perspectives) And equipped him with the tools & first principles perspectives to make his operating system: - Lightweight - Efficient - Powerful So he could go and shine his light out into the world Minus all the anxiety, overthinking & searching for wholeness "out there" It's been incredible watching Nick rise up on youtube, instagram & through his app to spread his message and fully step into his power As with most clients...we end up becoming brothers for life Blessed to have been a guiding light to help this incredible man step into his greatness 🙏❤️‍🔥

Dear Everyone, The last few days have been hell. Losing Kiyo has not been easy and I’m not ok. Kiyo gave me the best time of my life. The level of joy you brought into my word and any space he was able to exist in was incomparable. Kiyo was my lover, my best friend, and my truth. He truly saw me for who I was and I saw him for who he was. I didn’t just love him, I believed in him, prayed for his victory. I cared for him. Who would have thought that bringing back a piece of Tupperware would invite me into the world of the purest, kindest soul in the world. Kiyo would do anything for anyone. He was my hero and I was his. We both kept our capes on for each other whenever we needed to save the other person. I am grateful that I got to experience a love like his. I am grateful I got to spend some of the best moments of my life with him. I am grateful that even I grieve I still feel his warmth and care. Kiyo taught me be more patient and understanding and no matter how we came into this world and no matter how bad the world treated us, it doesn’t give us the right to exact that same unkindness to others. He loves animals, anime, a good meal, Steven Universe, a really inappropriate joke, and you never had to guess how he felt about you. As he was goofy he was charming. I still feel his hands interlocked into mine and he was fearless. He loved like no other man I have met in this world could. The first night we reconnected he gave my cat Patrick the middle name Bayard. He gave me first Christmas full of love and laughs. The first man in my life to actually pay attention to me and surprise me with gifts that he knew I would love and were true to who I was as a nerd. Anytime I could get it, I was with him. He had full access to my home and my heart. To Mike and Rico thank you for always being there for him and caring for him, Mike you coming into town in March really lit him up. First time I got to dance with him. Rico thank you for taking him to there museum. He loved every moment of it. All he could do was rave about how much made his day. To Tony, his wife and his gaming community on Destiny 2, thank you for being patient with my baby and giving him space to be man that he was and to his Dad and his brothers. He loved y’all more than you know. All he wanted was for y’all to be ok. And to all his true friends and loved ones know that he always thought of y’all. I will never say goodbye to Kiyoki-D’Andre Marcel Toliver, I will say see you later because no matter where you are I know you are watching me because what we had was Immortal. As I grieve I will try to give any notice on his memorial service which will be in NYC because his grandmother sent him here to find the best version of himself and I know he truly did. I want to share this video I made months ago because I was so proud of the man I had. I want to share also the last video he took of me before we went to Brooklyn Comic-Con. If there are typos forgive me.

Happy Maid Monday ^.^ Today I want to try something a little different I want to write a little hot kig fiction. I never done it before but her I go! #kigurumi #着ぐるみ Part:1 I shouldn’t have never taken that bet but here I am. Locking myself up for hours 8 as anime doll while my friend/new master eyes me down with hungry eyes. After hearing the the timer count down and beep I felt a strange sensation hit my chest and in between my legs. Part:2 Soon after I began dusting and cleaning his room for a few hours. It was hard work but I was able to get it done. With a sigh of relief I threw myself on the bed and shut my eyes not knowing what’s to come. A few minutes after i felt a cold hand grab my thigh then another grabbing something else. I tried to resist but I was too tried to fight back. And At that moment I didn’t feel like a human but I did feel like a real doll. So I Laid there helplessly as my new owner plays with my body for the rest of the night. Part:3 After a long night of passionate groping, I eventually feel asleep. The morning light crept through the window cause me to wake up . I noticed I was still dress as a cute little doll but to my horror I noticed the lock was still on. I tried shaking and tugging on the lock but it was in vain .He locked me in while I was asleep and this time I don’t know for how long. It Could’ve been for an hour or 24 hours !? Only he knows. But he must’ve heard my whimpers cause soon after he walks into the room with those hungry eyes and gets ready to play with his new doll.

I have a story about addiction from a different perspective. A story where recovery was not possible. I have one sibling. An older brother. Everyone loved him. It was easy to love him. He died 10 years ago. It was a horrible death that took him 20 years to accomplish, dragging everyone who loved him along the way. He was an amazing musician. He didn't read music. No lessons. Hand him any instrument, and he can play it. He had a big heart. He was easily the funniest person I've ever known. And he is the only other human being who speaks fluent movie-script-quotes with precision and skill. But alcohol took over in his mid-20s. Bam Margera is just 2 years younger than my brother. He reminds me of my brother *so* much. Everything Bam and his family went through with his addiction is what my brother and family went through. My brother left high school because he was a gifted songwriter and musician. Bam left because he was a gifted skater. My brother was really into editing and producing films, and so is Bam. When Ryan Dunn died, and Bam went off the deep end, I was watching my brother do the same thing every time a strong emotion hit him, and he simply didn't know what to do with it. My brother was so beautiful on the outside, yet unrecognizable at the end. I can not tell you how many times my brother would go missing. Hundreds of times. He would sometimes go missing for up to a week. Then we'd get a call from the police or a hospital. Usually, the hospital would be first because he'd be near death. Then they would keep him on a 5150 at a mental health facility. Then he would come home. One time, he chased me with a knife in his hand, screaming he was going to kill me as I was running out of my parents' home on a cordless phone dialing 911. I found a fifth of vodka in his room and poured it down the drain. He went looking for it 20 minutes later, and it was empty...and I told him I poured it out. When I was 24 years old, I landed my first job that came with an office. My name was outside of it. I was stoked. I worked my ass off to get there. But there was no happiness at that time in my life. I remember my father calling me at work, sitting in that office, to say he was coming to pick me up because he knew where my brother, who had been missing for 4 days, was. The credit card he stole from my mother showed he was at a little oceanfront motel 10 minutes away. And I remember thinking to myself on the way over there...I have to open the motel room door. I can't let my dad see him hanging. It will destroy his life. I told my dad to wait about 10 feet to my left, and I opened the door, and there was my brother fashioning a sheet into a noose. Another time he went missing, and they found him on the roof of a building with the inside of his arms slashed from elbow to wrist, just lying in a pool of blood. Dark shit. Both of the insides of his arms were mutilated from being sliced open so many times. At least 30, if not more. He stopped wearing short-sleeved shirts in public about 10 years before he died. He got to the point of seizures when he withdrew and had alcohol-related dementia for the last 3 years of his life, which would come and go. Then one day, after 2 decades, he called my parents and said something was wrong. My parents went over to his place, ended up calling 911, the ambulance got there, and he started walking outside with assistance from paramedics and collapsed. In front of my parents. He was rushed to the hospital. I had not seen my brother for the last 9 years of his life. He disowned me. Because he felt he had to. He killed my dog when he got drunk 9 years before he died. No one knows if he meant to or not, he was so wasted. He couldn't face me after that. So he disowned me. And a piece of my heart died the day he did it. I talked to my parents right before they left to see what was wrong that day. The last thing I said to my dad was, "Do not let him die without me having an opportunity to say goodbye." My dad called me from the er 2 hours later and said, "You should come over now. He won't know you're here." When I got there, I was shocked at what I saw. He wasn't the right color. He was in a coma. Severe internal bleeding. On life support. It was jarring even after seeing him in a much similar state hundreds of times for such a long time. He was taken to the ICU 3 hours later, where they would transfuse blood by the bag damn near constantly, and it just shot out of his nose. It was bloody. A lot of blood. After about 6 hours, I told my parents to go home and get some rest. I would stay with him. And I talked to him like he was right there. Like one of the hundreds of pillow-fort slumber parties we had as kids. Like no time had passed, and his addiction never existed. I showed him pictures of my life over the past decade on my phone...just like he was there. But he wasn't there. And after 3 hours and extensive talks with several doctors and specialists, I had to make the decision to remove his life support. After my parents returned and said goodbye, I told them to wait out in the hall until he passed because I could not allow them to have the memory of him dying, and I returned to my brother's side, and said what I needed to say, bawling my heart out. I told them to turn off the machines, and I held him in my arms as he died. It took just over 7 minutes. And I just held him. I had Nine Inch Nails playing for him. One of his favorites thanks to Pretty Hate Machine. He was a fan for life after that. He was my best friend. But he was also someone I had to protect myself from if he was intoxicated. This is the end that usually becomes a reality for addicts and their families. Then there's someone like Bam Margera. He went to the same place my brother went to in his head. And he came back. Bam is one of the greatest comebacks ever and a story of recovery worth knowing. I see YouTube shorts of Bam skating again every day, and I'm so moved that I just sit here and cry. You can see his personality is back. You have no idea how rare that is. Their personality shows very little while they're in their addiction. Recovery stories are incredibly personal to so many people, including those who have gone through addiction with an addict because they love them so much...they'd see anything they had to see and endure anything they have to endure just to be there with them at their lowest point. Addicts are not monsters. The stuff they use to numb the pain they do not understand is the real monster. And when you put enough of that into a human being, they do things they would *never* do without it. People are not pure. We are more complex than that. We are good and bad. Light and dark. Right and wrong. Chaotic and serene. You will find that the answer to every question you have about life is usually "both" for a reason. Because one can not exist without the other. With recovery stories like Hunter Biden's and Bam Margera's out in the ether, more people will be less ignorant as to how this disease plays out, and that will do nothing but good for so many families struggling with this issue. Addiction isn't just for the addict. Addiction is for everyone who loves them, as well. It's just a different perspective of hell. So listen to recovery stories with renewed respect because most addicts end up the way it ended for the only sibling I'll ever have.

The moment I knew this Bangtan life was for me was when I watched MAMA 2018 and saw Hobi cry as they accepted their Daesang. That was the last time I saw him cry like that until SEVEN years later, when I found tears rolling down my own face as he gave his speech at HOPE ON THE STAGE in Osaka. But this time, it felt different. Because now, I’m here, with all of you, experiencing this journey with him, from the very beginning of their solo chapter in 2022. Our desire to see him flourish, to watch the world finally recognize his phenomenal artistry, has been constant and it’s all been unfolding before our eyes. For the past three years, he’s shown us exactly what he’s made of. He broke out of the box, releasing music and content, not out of privilege, but through sheer grit, hard work, and a refusal to stay stagnant. He peeled back layers most people never knew were there. And oh, j-hope BLEW. OUR. MINDS. If we felt overwhelmed watching him cry, imagine what he must’ve felt. Because HE CARVED THIS PATH. Every step paved with blood, sweat, and tears. He was hands-on with everything. We witnessed a level of energy on stage that I’ve never seen from any other artist. He’s god-tier on that stage, my goodness, to the point where I’ve honestly wondered: Is he even human? 😅 HOPE ON THE STAGE didn’t start in 2023. It began way back, with a spark in a young boy who knew he was born for the stage. From convincing his dad this was his destiny, to pushing forward when he couldn’t afford hagwon tuition, to moving to Seoul alone to train, to pouring thousands of hours into his craft, all of it led to the creation of a tour that’s now written into history. May we live long enough to witness everything HobiPower still has in store. 💜 #HOPE_ON_THE_STAGE_TOUR #HOS_TOUR_MENT

🔴JK🌟Was LIVE | 6.28.26 | 4 hours As one of the lucky ones who was able to watch JK’s four-hour live last night, I wanted to share what I took away from it. Fair warning: this is a long one… but he did give us four hours of content. 😅 Read if you’d like! First, and most importantly, Jungkook wants us to see him for who he is: a responsible adult who is capable of making his own decisions. He wants people to stop questioning every choice he makes, every word he says, and every aspect of how he lives his life. He is happy. He told us himself, “I’m so good.” He takes his health and well-being seriously, and he knows what works for him. He works hard, and like many adults, enjoys winding down sometimes with good food, alcohol, or both. He’s naturally nocturnal and thrives on the schedule that suits him. He doesn’t need unsolicited advice about how he should sleep or live. After the show, he went out to eat with the members, before returning to his hotel to film the dance challenge, which took over 50 takes. It was another reminder of how much pride he takes in his work. He always wants to show us, and himself, the very best he can do. Right now, he’s immersed in dance. He’s studying locking, krumping, and other house styles because he genuinely wants to become an even better dancer. He wants keep sharing dance challenges with us, because that’s one of the ways he can give us something new right now. He said he doesn’t actually listen to music that often, unless it is connected to a dance video, but when he does, he’s been enjoying a lot of music from his fellow idols, especially girl groups. He even shared a few songs he’s been playing on repeat lately. He’s also been enjoying anime, talking about several series he’s been watching and how excited he is for the next season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. He spoke honestly about learning English. He has a teacher, and he wants to improve, but it’s difficult and he simply doesn’t have enough time to devote to it. At the same time, he made it clear, again, that he doesn’t want people constantly asking or telling him to speak English. As he has said so many times: “I don’t speak English. I’m Korean.” If you choose to watch his lives, stop asking for it! One of the most candid moments was hearing him talk about big brand events. He admitted that they make him uncomfortable, saying Taehyung loves them and is much better at them. Small talk doesn’t come naturally to him, and he gets shy with all the eye contact. But, like the professional he is, he has learned how to do it well, because it’s part of his job, and because he genuinely appreciates the brands he works with, speaking warmly once again about his Calvin Klein collaboration. And then there’s what has always been part of Jungkook’s core: singing. He simply loves to sing. He loves exploring his voice, learning new techniques, experimenting with different genres, and constantly improving. He watches YouTube vocal tutorials to keep growing. Karaoke isn’t just fun for him, it’s practice, exploration, and another way to become a better artist. Listening to him sing throughout the live was a gift. Beautiful, playful, effortless, and unmistakably Jungkook. His performance of “Into the Sun” was my personal highlight, with perfectly placed vocal runs, delicate high notes, and emotion woven into every line. This is only a small part of what Jungkook shared with us over those four hours. I’m incredibly grateful that he gave us so much of his time, his thoughts, his laughter, and his music. My biggest takeaway is this: if you choose to log into his lives, then let him live. Keep your cringy comments to yourself. He doesn’t want to see them, and neither do we. Listen to what he’s actually telling you, trust him to know what’s best for himself, and simply enjoy the rare privilege of spending time with him. Thank you, Jungkook. We love you. 💜

“My Husband Owes $58,000 To 3 Separate Women” Caller : My husband had fathered three children before we got married. He has separate child support orders on all three of them. There's three different moms, and together, it's a combined total debt of $58,000. I didn't know if we should do like your traditional debt snowball I don't want to like pay for one child and the other two are not receiving any money. Dave Ramsey: how much other debt ? Caller : Um, about $5,000. We have a small car loan Dave Ramsey: And what's your household income? Caller : Um, about $35,000. Dave Ramsey: Okay. All right. Um... so just one of you working? Caller : Yeah. I work full-time. I make $17 an hour. Dave Ramsey: Hm. What does he do? Caller : he's always wanted to own his own business, and so this year he decided that he was going to um try and start a landscaping company. Dave Ramsey: Okay. But I mean, did he start it before... before winter? Caller : Yes. he started it in April, and um he was making about $500 to $1,000 a month from that. Dave Ramsey: Okay. So, it's not working out? Caller : No. Dave Ramsey: Okay. And I mean, unless he has a plan to get his income up 10x, he needs to get a job, doesn't he? Caller : Yes. Dave Ramsey: Okay. Yeah. Your nervous laughter tells me he's sitting on his butt not doing that. Dave Ramsey: Well, what exactly is he doing? Caller : Um, well, he is at home,we have two children together. so he is at home with them right now, but um uh while they're at school and stuff Caller : ...he's not really doing much. Dave Ramsey: Bull. If he was marketing his business, he'd be making more than $500. So, as kindly as I can, I need to just say out loud that there's a guy that owes $58,000 for three children that he's not taking care of, and he's doing zero about it, And that's kind of not okay.

Sidney Lumet recounts the incident when Henry Fonda got angry & thought of pulling out of producing "12 Angry Men" (1957) and how he finally changed his mind: "Fonda came into the project a little uptight. He had to deal with problems he didn't want to deal with. I knew rehearsals were going very well, but two or three days before shooting, I could feel his tension building. One afternoon we stood at the elevator. He turned to me abruptly and with marked irritation said he was dissatisfied with everything. My heart leaped. The star, the producer was unhappy. We walked into the studio. Only work lights were on. Hank [Henry Fonda] went pale. The exterior was a shot of the other buildings outside the courthouse in Foley Square. Now, we could have had a huge photo blowup made, but this was a low-budget picture, so we opted for a compromise, a painted backdrop from a photograph. It didn't look great hanging there. You could see all the paint marks. "Christ!" Fonda exploded before the director. "When I worked with Hitchcock the backings were so real you'd walk into them because you thought they were three dimensional." "My heart sank. I said, "I've been told it'll work, Hank." Fonda replied, "You've been told? I tell you it looks terrible! Christ, I don't want to be a f**king producer.'" "We started shooting the following morning in Manhattan. The first shot was a very complicated one, over the blades of the fan from a crane. The lighting turned out to be a phenomenal problem. We waited from eight-thirty to four in the afternoon. Hank doesn't sweat, but that was about as close as he's ever come. But that was about as close as he's ever come. "We went to the rushes the next noon, and he said, 'Sidney, what am I going to do? I can't stand seeing myself on the screen. I never go to rushes, and sometimes I wait two years to see a finished film I've made. Sometimes I never see them.' Hank steeled himself, walked into the projection room and sat down behind me. He watched for a while, and then he put his hand on the back of my neck and squeezed so hard I thought my eyes would pop out. He leaned forward and said quietly, 'Sidney, it's magnificent' Then he dashed out and never came to the rushes again. What is so fascinating to me about Fonda as a talent is I don't think if you took a stick and beat him he could do anything false, he's incapable. As a performer, as a man, he's pure. He's like a barometer of truth on the set. Fonda has the inner resource to make the lines deeply true. Great actor. I don't use that term often." ("Fonda: My life - As told to Howard Teichmann", 1981) P.S: On this day, 69 years ago, Sidney Lumet's "12 Angry Men" (1957) was released in the USA.

Today, aside a Christian brother giving me free food, something genuinely beautiful happened to me again, and it left me thinking, if only we were this religiously tolerant, Nigeria would be a far better place. I live in a block of four flats. I am the only Muslim, the other three residents are Christians. Two of which are married, one is a bachelor like me, hustling and figuring life out. One of my closest neighbors is Isaac. We live on the same floor. He is married with two kids, in his late 30s, while I am in my 20s. We talk a lot and we banter endlessly about politics and football despite our age gaps. I am a die-hard Barca fan, he is a Madrid fan. I am Pro-El-Rufai, he was a Peter Obi supporter, who is now tilting towards Tinubu in the next election. So you can imagine, there is always something to argue about between us, and we enjoy it, but what we both agree on is Tinubu didn't treat Mallam fairly (Although he believes Mallam should have handled it better, I always told him it’s because he didn’t know the background that’s why he think so). So, Yesterday we were discussing Christmas plans. During Eid, I hosted a barbecue in my apartment, so we were talking about how Christmas would be done in his place. He told me he would like to invite me over to eat Christmas food with his family. I gladly accepted because I am somebody that loves to party, and every christmas since in the Uni we go out and have. A few moments later, since he mentioned that he bought a ram, I hesitantly explained to him that while I could eat the food, I could not eat the ram (I hesistated because I didn't think he will get me). He paused for a moment and asked why. I explained to him that in Islam, certain prayers must be recited before an animal is slaughtered for the meat to be permissible. Eating meat from an animal slaughtered without those prayers is not allowed in Islam. He then asked out of curiosity, why I would eat the chicken but not the ram. I explained that the chicken is carton chicken with a halal tag, and I even showed him what the tag looks like. He was surprised. He said he had always seen the halal label but never knew what it meant. We both laughed about it. From his reaction, I could tell that the explanation about prayers before slaughtering an animal did not really make sense to him, but what mattered was that he respected my beliefs and did not try to push or argue. We simply changed the topic and moved on. Early in the morning today before, Isaac called me and asked me to come downstairs. When I did, he asked me to slaughter the ram and perform the prayers so that I could comfortably join them for the evening barbecue, since his religion doesn't have limitations over that. I was honestly shocked and deeply impressed. In that moment, I thought to myself, if only more people were this respectful and tolerant of other people’s faith, Nigeria would be a much better place. (It was later in the day that I saw Bashir Ahmad, OON’s post of Albani, that you can actually eat the meat even if it wasn’t slaughtered by a Muslim) The point I am trying to make here is, an average Nigerian Christian would have taken offense the moment I said I could not eat his meat, all he will hear is AVERSION, without respect for my faith and beliefs but not Isaac, he chose to respect my faith, and choices without taking offense. Surprisingly, Isaac is from Plateau State. He was born and raised in Delta, lived briefly in the UK, and then returned to Nigeria. I am writing after dancing “Oble.....Obleee.....Obleeeee” in my compoud with my christian neighbors. Nigeria will be a good place to live if we learn to tolerate one another and genuinely respect our differences.

Caller: “I'm 26 and a nurse. I've been with my boyfriend for 6 years. I graduated from school in 2023 with $167,000 in student loans. I've paid off a lot and have about $90,000 left. My boyfriend makes $250,000 a year, but he doesn’t want to propose until I’m completely debt-free.” Dave Ramsey: “Interesting. You’re not going to like me if you were my daughter.” Caller: “Why?” Dave Ramsey: “You want to know what I would tell you?” Caller: “What?” Dave Ramsey: “Dump him.” Caller: “Yeah? I mean, he’s a great guy.” Dave Ramsey: “No, he’s not. No, he’s not. No, he’s not. He’s making you prove your worth based on money. To him, you’re having to buy your way into this relationship. Nope. You’re a princess, and you deserve more than this.” Caller: “The reason I’ve been able to put the majority of my paycheck toward my loans is because he pays all of our rent.” Dave Ramsey: “Oh, so you live together?” Caller: “Yeah, we live together.” Dave Ramsey: “Oh, so you’re already married you just didn’t admit it.” Caller: “Yeah, it doesn’t seem like we’re married.” Dave Ramsey: “Well… yeah. Gosh. So what’s his incentive to get married? None. Jade Warshaw: “Living together before marriage is a bum idea. It’s not a good idea because what happens is you start making bad relationship decisions based on financial gain and the pressure you’ve already put on yourselves.” “It’s a lot easier to walk away from a messed-up relationship when he lives over there and she lives over here, and you just get together when it’s time to go on dates. It’s a lot easier to say, ‘You know what? This guy’s a bum. I’m going to walk away.’” “It becomes much more difficult when you’re living in the same house, splitting responsibilities, and he’s paying the rent. That makes it very hard to make the natural transitions you would have made if you hadn’t put that kind of pressure on the relationship.” Dave Ramsey: “You have a fabulous career as a nurse. You’ll always be employed, and you can work as much or as little as you want. You can work 80 hours a week or 20 hours a week. You’ll be able to do that for the rest of your life, and you can make a pile of money.” “All we tell couples to do is be aligned. Be in agreement about how money is going to be handled.” “Now, he’s in agreement that he hates debt. You’re in agreement that you hate debt, and you’ve been working hard to pay it down. But then he put up a false barrier here.I’m just telling you I love you, and if you were my daughter, I’d tell you not to marry this guy because I think this is a false premise.” “You’re aligned on what’s important. You’re aligned on saying, ‘We don’t like debt. We’re going to avoid debt, and we’re going to get out of debt.’” “If one of you has zero debt, but one person loves debt and hates saving while the other loves saving and hates debt, you’re going to get divorced later.” “The number one cause of divorce in North America today is money fights and money problems, This is a money fight, you’re just not having it out loud. You’re having it in your head.” Jade Warshaw: “It seemed like he was willing to help with the debt. We aren’t married yet, but it felt like he was trying to help, He was helping in the wrong way. That’s the only thing that makes me think he might simply be misguided. He said, ‘I’ll pay the rent.’” Dave Ramsey: “you can go to a marriage counselor and say Let’s get aligned on this, or we’re going to end this, But if at the end of the day, the answer is, ‘I won’t marry you until you pay off your debt Well, then the question has been answered. “You value that more than you value me, See you later, alligator.”
