This bird uses cable ties to build it's nest

Smart little bird understands how motion sensors work

Impressive, but also a little sad that plastic has become part of nature.

Fun fact: That’s a Monk Parakeet! They are unique because they’re the only parrot species that builds massive, complex stick nests instead of using tree hollows.

These are all Quaker Parrot nests. They can make nests.

That's a Quaker parrot, highly intelligent bird.

These are all Quaker Parrot nests. They can make nests.

Imagine a dystopian world when all nests are made from plastic, wires and cables…

Give it some jumper wires and bread boards next

The amount of microplastics in this small bird is equivalent to the mass of a small bird.

her nest will probably outlive her 😊🤭 her chicks will likely inherit it

look at this @luxebarbie_

S**t it promotes sustainability 🤣🤣

Absolutely fascinating! This little guy shows such incredible intelligence and creativity.

I would watch a full day of this

industrial chic

Sarang burung dari cable ties supaya lebih kuat ya 😂 aku tersentuh 🥺 padahal dia bangun rumahnya sendiri, bukan rumahku 🙃

It doesn't know yet how harmful and uncomfortable it is going to be in the long run.

Just, can we schtop having animals that are placed in cages? They not pets, they do t know any better.

These birds can be really creative

How does a bird even know to use cable ties like that?

engineer bird energy lol 😭😂

这鸟也太聪明了吧，自己搞装修！

What about when the bird needs to shit?

So intelligent 🧠

look at how the bird ties the cable with its beak mouth, unexpectedly the bird is very intelligent

@gloryetta_

น้องฉลาดมาก

Sorry, but why u do this? The bird build a nest from this, what u are giving them, or what they find in nature. This bird is not free and build an nest from plastic. This is absolutely waste…

That nest isn't going ANYwhere. Cable ties are next-level security.

What an interesting parrot!

So, it’s really about what resources that are available to them. Just like the palm fonts the use in the forest

This trick can help you at home or in hostels 😂
