This Buff-tailed bumblebee queen is searching for a nest 👀 Despite her obvious efforts, this spot isn’t quite suitable. Buff-tailed bumblebees tend to nest underground, rather than on the surface 🏡 Have you spotted many bumblebees recently? 🐝

Over the moon to find this STUNNING red tailed bumblebee queen yesterday, basking in the sunshine on our Crocus Especially happy because this particular species hasn’t been doing well over the last few years. Fingers crossed for a period of good weather for her now…

This question is a disrespect to mongooses. Watch this video well. One wicked human is holding the mongoose back. I'm guessing with a rope or something. Even though it's not very obvious, you'll notice it if you pay attention. Despite being held down, can you see how fast the mongoose dodged the cobra's strike? It would have gone for the snake's head if not that it was held down. Mongooses have an extraordinary reflex. They're better than cats in this regard.

🐾 Meet the cutest crew in South Florida! 👀 This momma panther and her four playful kittens were spotted on a wildlife cam, and we're paws-itively smitten. 🌿 This sighting is a promising sign for the Florida Panther. These iconic animals and many more depend on the health of Florida’s ecosystems. ❗ Remember to keep your distance from all wildlife for your safety and theirs.

Lots of calls to the hospital now are from people who have acidentally disturbed a nest. The most important rule is immediately (and I mean immediately, every second counts so no photo taking!) put everything back as you found it and urgently call a good established rescue for advice. We're coming into the height of baby season now so this is particularly important, and could mean the difference between life and death for the babies. Pregnant hedgehogs build two or three maternity nests, in case the chosen nest becomes uninhabitable (from flooding or predators for example). This means mum can quickly move her babies without having to leave them to find bedding and build. BUT.. Moving babies isn't a cute, Disney-esque event. It's a dire emergency. It's difficult, sometimes painful, and fraught with danger and tragedy. Babies get dropped, the ones left in the new nest may wander out while mum is back getting the next one from the old nest, and mum will be suffering extreme stress. Prevention is always better than cure so please be extra careful in the garden during this baby season. Before doing anything, think hedgehog. Anything left undisturbed for long will be seen as an attractive nesting place: Beneath a shed/wendy house/decking Inside a shed Inside a compost bag/rubbish bag Under piles of rubbish/wooden palettes Under furniture/barbeque covers Taking a moment to gently check before moving could save precious little lives.

This is how Germany pressurizes the Vatican to change its ruling. Despite not receiving permission to do this, the church in Germany did it anyway. Rather than let a woman give the homily herself, it was a joint homily between her and a priest. Its the bridge to disobedience, if not outright disobedience, it's a tactic and a strategy. Parishes and local conferences have been using that strategy for hundreds of years.

"What you're doing for yourself is more important for a woman more than weti you dey do for am." Why do you think women want rich men? It's because they have done well for themselves. What attract women to you is what you have amount for yourself. This is why as a man, it's important to prioritize your self development. You'll see a man who hasn't finished school sponsoring his girlfriend through school. A man who hasn't built a house for his parents building a house for his girlfriend parents. A man who hasn't opened business for all his siblings opening a business for a girlfriend. So after elevating this woman, you expect her to see you the same? This is why women punish simps because they elevate them above themselves. Unfortunately, women are hypergamous by nature and will never want to be with a man they believe they're better than. If you use all the money you want to spend on a woman to invest more on yourself, she'll love you more because you'll end up being a better man than she initially met you but foolish men think spending lavishly on a woman is what will keep her. As a man, always remember that what you're doing for yourself is more important to a woman than what you're doing for her. ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF FIRST!

Two weeks apart. Same person. Different choices. This isn’t a “fell off” post. This isn’t shame. This is reality. This is part of the story. After the show, I went from 168.4 lbs to 182.2 lbs. And at this point… it’s a choice. I’ve realized something about myself: When I hit a peak, I tend to sabotage it so I have something to chase again. But the truth is.. Greatness is built by staying disciplined after the high, not restarting from the low. And as someone who’s lived both extremes more times than I can count, I’ll say this with full honesty: The pain of discipline is ALWAYS better than the pain of regret. So here’s the good news… I get to use this moment as fuel. I get to document the entire climb back and show you exactly how I’m going to do it using the same systems I teach in G7 Coaching and the G7 Fitness App. No waiting for New Year’s. No “Diet Starts Tomorrow.” We start today. It’s Game Time. 💪🏾😤

[JUST IN] THE QUIET SUPPORT SPEAKS THE LOUDEST 🎥✨ [#DBspatch | Exclusive] No grand statements. No forced reveals. Just one moment that says everything. A surfaced video shows Dustin Yu personally recording Bianca De Vera while she sings, and honestly, that simple act hits harder than any interview ever could. The focus, the pride, the way he makes sure to capture her moment. This is support in its purest form. This isn’t performative. This isn’t for show. This is someone who believes in you, roots for you, and wants to preserve your shine quietly, sincerely, and without distraction. For the #Cheffies, we’re sharing this clip as a small gift from our page, part of #PagIbigParaKayBianca. A moment that reminds us how loved, supported, and valued she truly is. Because when someone is always behind the camera, cheering you on, making sure your light is seen, that kind of presence isn’t casual. Sometimes love doesn’t need labels. Sometimes it just looks like this. #BiancaDeVera #DustinYu #DustBia #PagIbigParaKayBianca

This woman was catching flack for running down the highway to stop traffic so this huge herd of geese could cross. She specifically is trying to get that truck to stop who seems intent on inching closer to the geese instead of waiting patiently like the other cars. Many were calling her a Karen. I don’t think she was a Karen at all, she’s CARING. It’s sad how people don’t want to stop for animals and would rather run them down. This is their world too, we need to learn to share it. Have you ever seen a herd of geese that large crossing a road? Do you think she was being a Karen or do you think she was being kind?

AMAZING CONSERVATION NEWS - Highland tiger kittens born in the wild! 🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 See the INCREDIBLE moment two litters of critically endangered wildcat kittens are spotted for the first time in Scotland. This is a HUGE milestone for the ambitious Saving Wildcats (#SWAforLIFE) project that we've supported for many years. One wildcat born here at the zoo, called Margaret, was relocated to Scotland to help with these conservation efforts and went on to have several kittens of her own. In total, 19 wildcats were released into Cairngorms National Park last year, and it's incredible to think that Margaret's offspring are part of this reintroduction to help the species fight back from the brink of extinction. #SWAforLIFE #saveourwildcats

A note from Team Oyin 🐝 Before Oyin entered the house, some past tweets from her personal account regarding previous housemates have resurfaced and understandably caused hurt within the community. We want to address this directly. Oyin is currently unable to speak for herself while in the house, but we won't hide from this on her behalf. Those tweets don't reflect who she's shown herself to be, and there's no excuse that undoes the impact of those words. What we can say is this: like many of us, Oyin was once just a fan caught up in the emotion of the show, the banter, the loyalty to faves, the late night arguments. That intensity can pull the best of us into saying things we don't truly mean. It doesn't make it right, and when she's out of the house, we know she'll want to address this herself, fully and honestly. For now, on her behalf, we say sorry. Genuinely, to anyone affected. We're asking the #BBNaija family to hold her accountable, the way real support always should, while also giving her the grace to grow the way this show has a way of bringing out of people. Thank you for loving Oyin enough to care about this. 🐝💙 #OyinOshikoya #BBNS11

Before telling you about butterflies generally, let me tell you something spectacular about THIS butterfly. Its name is Alcon blue butterfly. It is one of the most famous examples of an extreme social parasite in the butterfly world. How the deception works: After the female Alcon Blue lays her eggs and they hatch, feeds on the plant for about 2–3 weeks, going through its first three instars (growth stages). When it reaches the fourth instar, the caterpillar drops to the ground and waits. It secretes chemicals (allomones) from a special gland that mimic the exact scent profile of the brood (larvae/pupae) of a myrmica ants. When the worker ants encounter the caterpillar, they'll mistake it for one of their own lost larvae, and carry it back into their underground nest. In some populations, the caterpillar even makes tiny sounds that imitate the “queen ant” calls, which elevates its status inside the colony. Ants will actually prefer feeding the caterpillar over their own larvae! The caterpillar then becomes a ruthless predator and eats hundreds of ant grubs over the next 10–22 months. After almost a year (or even two in some cases), the caterpillar pupates inside the ant nest. The adult butterfly emerges, inflates its wings, and crawls out of the nest (often at dawn when ants are less active). The ants don’t attack it because its scales reduce friction and it may release calming chemicals.
