Spacecraft like Voyager and Messenger will eventually exhibit this look due to the natural wear and tear effects of prolonged space travel. Although space lacks the high levels of oxygen found on Earth it still holds tiny amounts of reactive particles that can trigger oxidation reactions in exposed metals. The presence of radiation and energetic particles in space also cause chemical transformations in materials over long stretches of time

Meteorites from space, composed mainly of metallic minerals like iron and nickel, display a mirror-like shine when cut or polished due to their crystalline structure. This distinct feature not only captivates scientists and enthusiasts but also offers insights into extraterrestrial materials and conditions. The reflective surface serves as a tangible link between Earth and the cosmos, providing a unique window into the wonders of space.

I look for second to the comments and see the people are in doubt about something... But they can't named the issue: Organic vs Inorganic Metals are not only inorganic, all of them we find in surface or deep in earth are extraterrestrial origin... One explanation favored by many geophysicists is the enrichment of the Earth's mantle with metals by the "Great Bombardment", a violent influx of meteorites from space 3.8 to 4.1 billion years ago.
