The verse does not necessitate that the entire was books were preserved throughout generations until the coming of Mohammad so that they can fulfill their covenant. If you were able to read the rest of the Qur'an you would know that.

Islam did not come until 600 years after the Bible was finished. Of course the Torah and scriptures came way before Islam. Let’s also not forget this started in the beginning in Genesis and ends in Revelations between two half brothers. Issac and Ishmael. Issac being the bloodline of covenant and Ishmael being the bloodline of promise. How does the Bible describe Ishmael and his bloodline?
