Actually a fire starter hack for years has been Fritos.

Many many years ago, my grandmother taught me that you could measure the number of calories in food by measuring the time the food would take to burn all up. According to my grandmother, instead of burning her trash, she would feed the trash to the pigs if the trash was full of calories. In today's chemical world, if ants will not eat it, then you should not eat it.

Someone may be surprised to discover that it's possible to burn toast.

Isn’t it actually a good thing that it’s flammable? I would be more concerned if it wasn’t. Plot twist- that box will light on fire too 😂

Even without the chemicals, it would catch fire because it’s fiber?people are stupid.

Sugar is literally a hobby rocket fuel we used to see used in HS science.

I do however prefer fire retardant free cereals.

Food burns. If this is a revelation to anyone, turn off the Internet and read a book.

The chemicals certainly are bad. Typical cereal is poison. But, wheat or oats are flammable, too.

That’s dumb. Yes, too many chemicals, but something burns that doesn’t automatically conclude “chemicals!”

Almost anything will burn and anything made out of organic matter will certainly burn. Throw a handful of flour in the air and light it. See how that goes. Don’t do it with finely ground sugar that will stick like napalm Good for folks who don’t get science

You leave any food in the oven to long it will catch fire.

It lit 🔥

You can also light a peanut on fire but it's not filled with chemicals. Unless by chemical you just mean chains molecules linked together, then sure?

Sugar can be used as rocket fuel. It is the carbohydrates that burn. In Iowa, corn is so cheap they burn it in pellet stoves.

I thought about going to the store and getting some Apple Jack’s cereal this morning😳

Yipee! You proved that sugar and cornmeal burn, as does most everything. Great work.

dry carbs are flammable... this not news. Just because the video says the fire is from chemicals doesn't make it true.

Sugar's flammable.

Literally an IQ test. Food is carbon based, carbon based food and… get this, ANIMALS are literally condensed sunlight converted to carbon. Wood, coal, food is carbon based and of sufficiently dry and rich in it, it will burn. 🙄🤦🏽♂️

What? Dried corn/wheat/oat flour and meal burning? Seriously? Of course it burns. It is dry vegetation. Sugar?? Yep, flammable. If anything the chemicals could slow down the burning.

Oh yeah.

It's igniting because of the sugar which is flammable. Have you ever toasted a marshmallow and had it burst into flames? Same thing.

This is total bullsh¡t If you ever want to know if a post is legit, look at the top right hand corner of the post, and to the left of the 3 dots, you'll see the Grok logo. Just tap that and you'll get all the info you need This works on every 𝕏 post - You're welcome!

It is real.

You might as well just throw that bowl in the trash can that's never going to clean out of there...

Who's out there setting their fruit loops on fire?

perhaps that’s the reason why they pushed the idea that breakfast is “The most important meal of the day.”🤔

You mean CORN FLOUR is FLAMMABLE?! Noooo waaaaaaaayyyyyyy (totally not fake sarcasm at all)

I wonder if knows that both wheat and sugar are flammable. Of course it burns. If anything the chemicals make it less flammable, but mostly have no effect on it burning.

you should've put the fire out with milk... I am so disappointed right now.

Sugar is flammable, tardos, especially sugar that is powdered/granulated. I mean it's still poison, of course, but that's the sugar fueling the fire.

😱 dang. One more cereal I’ll never eat again. Notice how they’re methodically taking away everything fun from us?

You'll be shocked when you learn what a calorie is

I use stale Doritos as firestarters. Its nothing new. There's a video where a guy burns stale donuts as a cheap source of fuel. But a lot of cereals aren't good for the body
