Yeah unfortunately there were several variations. Some have great switches and others feel like mud at this point

I would have killed for this in 1988 for my Atari 800XL!!!

Is it just for ROM's or can it do disk images too?

I've only tried ROMs but it may have features I haven't explored. There are TONS of these types of products so if one doesn't do what you want, another certainly does.
