I have a theory after watching Obsession: Yesterday, I rewatched it and that reinforced my thoughts on the subject of the cat. Which is that the repeated referencing to the "cat" has a deeper, double meaning.

TikTok has opened up a whole new world of cute cat behavior. Here, a regal tuxedo queen responds to her owner any time he says "meow meow"

This anime is called "Tonari no Youkai-san" and has furry spirits (yokai) that can TF. The cat is a normal cat that becomes a yokai, and has to learn how.

a small thread on this. in JP, naoto sounds like a boy naturally. she has a deeper voice, but she makes herself sound older and more mature than she actually usually sounds. in EN, that was changed to her having a more mature but feminine voice, which misses the point

I’m really starting like Gale Nelson as our new PA announcer. He still has that classic Miami Heat feel but with just a deeper tone which in my opinion fits this team’s vibe. I’m rooting for him all the way🫡
