It would take me around 40 YEARS to spend that much on cat litter, at the current rate. One might argue it's cheaper to use litter than the water waste with each flush, actually.

What are you going to do when he's sick and/or elderly? Also, you lose the ability to see how his pee/poop is. You'll never know if he starts peeing blood until it's probably too late, nor will you likely know if he develops severe constipation or diarrhea unless he misses.

I walked my cat twice a day outside. He digs a hole he does his business then covers ir up. if it’s raining, he will go potty in the kitty box. He eats one mouse size portion of raw chicken gizzards, or hearts a day talk about saving money, not having to buy the canned cat food

We have 5 cats and don't spend 4k a year on kitty litter. And we change it / add it often, and clean every day. And have one box for each cat.
