The one we had was the smartest dog I’ve ever seen that wasn’t on tv. When she got glaucoma, we had her eyes surgically removed. She lived another 5 years totally blind and it never slowed her down. Even after we moved to a new place, she adjusted to her new surroundings quicker than we did. They’re one of a kind for sure. Her name was “Spook” 🐶❤️

Border Collies are like ppl. They are wicked smart and can figure out so much on their own! I had one that was sent to me to rehab that had been feral for 4 yrs. She was one of the best dogs I've ever had! Stayed with me till she passed.

The other breed on my bucket list is a Doberman. We had a marvelous one when I worked at a vet. I want one as my “bed dog”.

I had one growing up. He was super sweet and super smart. He kept getting out. We thought to fortify the fence in the back. Nope! We had a long driveway and we discovered he would get on a full gallop down the driveway and just leap over the 5 foot gate we had. 😂

Since I foster, we have several doggy pastures on the farm. Made on that is 11 ft tall and wire rolled in a ft on the bottom🤣 Have one old dog that will chew through a welded wire fence🤬 He never leaves the acre around the house, so I finally quit fencing him.

Wow- chewed the wire fencing! I have a Heeler that like to chew metal too. She chewed all my metal gutter elbows into balls. 😆

He broke through it repeatedly, despite only being out for maybe 30 min, 4x/day! It’s not boredom. He truly believes he should not be penned!🤣🤣🤣

Nothing pisses me off more than a mama rejecting her baby. It sucks for the baby and it’s a lot of work. They need to go to freezer camp. This ewe doesn’t realize how this border collie is helping her hold on to having live value.

I have a friend who fosters kittens. She also has a border collie, Phoebe. Once the kittens are far enough along in their socialization, she introduces them to Phoebe who loves each and every one of them. The patience and love she shows them is so dear. BC's are very special ❤️
