A major stipulation for ANYONE on SNAP and/or other public benefits, should be that they have NO VEHICLE. If they have a vehicle, they should have to sell it! One of the benefits of receiving SNAP and other state and federal benefits is that one or more of them provide Mass Transit cards, credits or cash equivalency for access to MTA bussing, uber, or subway. They don’t need a vehicle.

Oh how horrible for her. The last time I worked I had three jobs. I worked at Sam's club, I worked for Uber, and I did a secret shopper thing that was online. Which you know that one was only when I felt like it. But I worked around 16 hours a day every single day. There was no day off there was no weekend. It was daily! And I did this for over 3 years. Not one single day off in three years!

I remember working as a waitress in the evenings, a hotel maid on the weekends and going to college full time. Fuck you snowflakes.

The weekends aren’t all that they are cracked up to be. Lots of places closed or close early. Other open places are more packed. Having days off during the week you can do appointments easier. When you go places like a nice restaurant on the beach for lunch it’s not slammed packed. Movie theaters aren’t slammed. Stuff like that. The only difficulty is if your spouse can’t get the same days off as you. I have weekends off now because of seniority and my wife’s off on weekends but when I was off during the week it wasn’t bad. She needs to adjust to it.

Pull your panties out of your butt and deal with it. Our society has all become about what is good for Me. During WWII women were working 24/7 helping build planes and tanks and trucks and made bombs and bullets for the war effort. Don't you think the wanted a weekend off, they were more about what is good for the country than what is good for them.

I've had several jobs that ate up my weekends. Having to work on a weekend is a normal part of life. This chick could never survive in game development, where you often work seven-day work weeks with overtime and/or double-time every day, especially during crunch time. I admit that I don't miss that at all. lol

OMG is this for real? I worked weekends for years! Decades. At 26 with an infant, I worked 3 jobs to make ends meet. I didn’t even think about applying for assistance. "doesnt want to work weekends" I worked 10 - 12 hour days 5 days a week, OT on Saturdays every time it was offered,on Holidays because it offered 2x pay for a decade straight ,because i had wife and kids depending on me.what " i wanted" never entered this equation.

Well before I was FIRED from my 14-year career that I loved for not taking the C-vx. Yes, I worked 40 hours a week and stayed OT when I had "processing of blood work urine samples stool samples etc" and HAD TO FIT INTO A WEEKEND ROTATION WHERE I HAD TO DRIVE TO SACRAMENTO. Did I complain? Heck no, I was HAPPY to have my job. No matter what days I had to work. Oh the squishy, lazy youth of today. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I can’t imagine why she is not getting offered jobs right and left. She seems like a mentally stable, emotionally secure person who is working hard at improving her situation and life and has the work ethic and grit to do whatever it takes to succeed. In the past we had mental institutions where we used to treat this type of individual. They have closed all the mental institutions so these people are medicated walk amongst us and we have to deal with their mental illness. Bring back mental institutions

Ok I know someone who quit because they had to work 5 ten hour days. Meanwhile the hours of my work day are ? And I’m usually around 12 hours. Pay my bills and support the family it’s almost like people won’t ever work hard and working hard teaches you how to persevere.
