The Uganda Police Force today handed over Mpirwe Tumwesigye, who was allegedly kidnapped, to his family at the Nsambya Police Health Services offices. The handover was conducted by the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) Spokesperson, SP Kawala Racheal, after the child underwent a medical examination.

This heinous behavior must be condemned and prevented. Feeding a child feces is a form of child abuse and neglect, causing irreversible harm. She is from Westnile, her husband was a police officer who died two months and she has a special needs child but the same Uganda Police Force officers tried to forcefully evict her by attempting to break the house while her and the child were inside. The OC slapped her twice in the process, how inhuman can one be? This system was NEVER meant to protect us and it is very absurd! I pray that one day our people all return back home, this feeling of hopelessness in the eyes of our people just overwhelms me! Please if anybody has access to this lady, get intouch ASAP!

A truly tragic story out of Kambu in Makueni County where small-scale businesswoman Zipporah Mutheu was arrested by the police because of a Ksh 465 debt and was taken into custody with her one-and-a-half-year-old child who was sick and in need of medication. On a hot Wednesday afternoon, Mutheu was in her shop when a police officer, responding to a debtor's call, showed up and arrested her. The officers allegedly beat both Mutheu and her child during the arrest before throwing them into a cell at Kambu Sub-County Police Station. Mutheu’s child was already unwell and needed further treatment. That night she begged the officers to let her take her child to the hospital. Her pleas were ignored. Early Thursday morning, the child’s condition worsened and the baby started vomiting. Mutheu tried kicking the cell door repeatedly to get attention but no one responded until it was too late – her child died in her arms. The officers allegedly refused to record the incident and instructed Mutheu to carry her dead child to the morgue herself. It took the intervention of an OCS from Mtito-Andei Station to get an OB number recorded.

His daughter was taken away yesterday evening after 6pm by ASI Sitaram Lamani of Adarsh Nagar Police station SP Vijayapura on pretext of producing the child before court in Belgaum on court orders We saw the orders & child had to be produced on 17 JULY before 5pm and not 12:30am in the night on 16 July i.e tonight. Child was taken without anyone known to her being there in a private vehicle which was being driven by a shirtless driver with 4 cops sitting Father claims he was not given any prior notice. Sir, this whole exercise is deeply disturbing and must have been traumatic for the child. Mother had not filed any custody case and child was being taken care by father & his family for last two years. Now he's being treated like a criminal not allowed to even touch his daughter or speak to her I request your kind intervention as to why it was so urgent to pick such a small child at night when the order by the court nowhere mentioned so and on whose orders was this done sir.
