The Crash of an F-4J Phantom II On March 20, 1968, a U.S. Navy F-4J Phantom II crashed shortly after takeoff when a wrench socket jammed the aircraft's control stick, leaving the crew unable to regain control of the aircraft. Both crew members successfully ejected before the aircraft crashed and exploded.

In the 1960s, Neil Armstrong and fellow astronauts drove Corvettes through a special GM lease program arranged by Chevrolet dealer Jim Rathmann, himself an Indy 500 winner. For about $1 a year, astronauts could drive America’s Sports Car, making Corvettes a common sight at Cape Kennedy. Armstrong chose this 1967 Sting Ray, now on display at the National Corvette Museum with its original 427 V8 and Marina Blue paint, connecting today’s Moon mission to the road that got us there. 🚀

He is just an engineer from Ohio trying to find honest language for something no human being had ever seen before him, and very few have seen since. The sky above the Moon is black at all times. The stars do not twinkle. The Earth hangs there, blue and fragile and impossibly beautiful. Armstrong saw it. And then he came home and told us what it looked like.

Chilling footage shows British base jumper Nathy Odinson just seconds before he jumped off a 29-story apartment building in Thailand. Sadly, his parachute failed and he fell to his death. Odinson landed in a tree before bouncing onto the ground. Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save him. The parachute that he used malfunctioned and was not centered as expected. Odinson was very experienced, with 5,000 jumps under his belt.

Video footage shows the man moving towards the group before getting thrown to the ground. After the incident, the man, who identified himself as 'Carlos' claimed the officers were pushing him and he didn't do anything wrong. Bizarre.
