The Japanese have a fifty-year-old tradition of eating Kentucky Fried Chicken on Christmas. KFC marketed fried chicken as a turkey alternate since turkeys aren't common in Japan. Call me low class, but I too would rather have fried chicken instead of turkey on Christmas.
