He is not wrong. On the other hand, if your child is just trying to play baseball in a non-competitive fashion, this mofo needs to take a chill pill. But if this is the school coach, where scoring and records are kept, the man is doing his job.

This is little league baseball. Statistically speaking none of those kids are gonna make it past varsity high school baseball. This coach should be focusing on developing the players, not the score. He’s the loser for caring about who the 3rd grade little league champs are.

Teaching kids winning is the most important thing and nothing else matters is a lot worse than any participation trophy. Playing is about learning and getting better. Doing your best is more important than winning.

If under 12 year old is playing for that coach, he and I are having words. How dare he disrespect me to my child.

Undermining the authority of fatherhood in these young minds (regardless of what the dad said) NULLIFIES his authority as a coach. It’s not “savage”, it’s pride. “Winning” has become his idol and he’s living vicariously through these kids.
