Should have said you want to speak to a lawyer before answering any questions. More likely to be a problem for him if he continued questioning you after that than after telling him you plead the 5th or you don’t answer questions. And actually, in this day and age, pleading the 5th could be seen as guilty when a jury hears that you plead the 5th whether you think it should mean that or not. So, best to ask for a lawyer and mean it, don’t say I think I want a lawyer, say I want to have my lawyer present before I answer any questions. Anyway, just fyi.
