MY NOSE BROKE… Again. As most of you know, I’ve broken my nose more times than I can count. The first major break was so severe the doctor told me it was one of the worst he’d ever seen. It required two surgeries just to put it back together, and I was strongly advised to never let it get hit again. I didn’t listen. It broke again. Another surgery. And honestly… it never healed the way it should’ve. Over time, the trauma caused scar tissue to take over, leaving me with a nose that didn’t function properly and didn’t look right either. So for the final time, I trusted Dr. Jay Calvert to take on what was basically a reconstruction job — reducing the scar tissue, restoring proper breathing, and rebuilding the structure from the inside out. Surgery was a success. Now it’s a full year of recovery before we see the final result. Wow. Flight 7 was probably the biggest failure of the program yet. Loose flaps, hinge fire, engine out on boostback burn, and complete loss of ship. (Yes, booster catch was pretty amazing) Honestly, this sucks, but we have to move on. This is a hardware-rich testing campaign, and not everything will work as intended. It will definitely set the program back a couple of months, and it will be interesting to see how long the investigations last. But in all honesty, a couple of months is nothing in the grand scheme. 2 steps back, 1 step forward

Back in the area where I grew up for a couple of exciting days later in the week (more of that to come…) but had the opportunity today to drive around the area to some places I remember from many years ago. I lived in Humberside (as it was called then) from 1973 to 1983 during which time we took regular trips to view the construction of The Humber Bridge which was, when completed, the longest single span suspension bridge in the world. It was amazing to see this incredible structure being built and I still marvel at the size of it today. One of the notable features is the shape of the road deck. It is very similar in design to an aircraft’s wing. The aerofoil section is designed to make the bridge stable during high winds. This design was used following lessons learned from earlier, unsuccessful designs such the Tacoma Narrows bridge. I still find it hard to believe I watched this bridge being built over 50 years ago! i was traveling for 2 years and taking long haul flights every few months - i didn’t realize it was ruining my skin i was super self conscious and it took 6 months to get my skin back on track once i got home the derm who helped me gave me this routine & now i do it on every long flight- you can stay in your seat and it’s 4 (cheap) products. i see a huge difference the week after flying hope this is helpful to any gals traveling back from devconnect this weekend❤️ and drink lots of water! ps. this was inspired by all the SheFi creators we spoke to this weekend about making fun videos😚
