The farm economy is in a difficult situation, and we are prepared to assist farmers so they can continue to farm. President Donald J. Trump is realigning global trade and has already secured DOZENS of trade deals for American Farmers — ethanol into the UK, Rice into Japan, and so many more. President Trump will not leave farmers behind!

Blackout is a lying dishonest scoundrel. We have over a 125 years of rainfall data for west of the Great Dividing Range (the Murray Darling Basin) and the data is clear, there is NO climate change trend in rainfall. There is NO increase in natural disasters - it’s a land out droughts and flooding rains, as it has always been. And to lie to farmers, to imply that your policies of "taking action on climate" will reduce droughts or floods is utterly contemptible.

Cows are environmentally sustainable. Methane from cows is part of the natural carbon cycle that after 10-12 years breaks down into natural CO2 and water. Grass absorbs the CO2 by photosynthesis and the cycle repeatedly continues. It’s time to end this bullshit propaganda based narrative that cows somehow destroy the planet. Farmers are facing huge pressures on a number of fronts and yet, governments are finding numerous ways to make their lives even more difficult. And that’s why farmers are protesting. Bananas from Kenya are now reaching Mogadishu markets by sea. These imports face no isbaaro, no extortion by government forces, and no import taxes. As a result, it has become much easier and more profitable for Kenyan banana farmers to supply Mogadishu than for local Somali farmers in Janaale or Muulo-Mareer to sell their own produce there. I applaud the entrepreneurs who recognized this opportunity and filled the gap. I also “thank” the Somali government their selfless for creating a market for Kenyan farmers in Somalia while their local farmers cannot access that same market because of isbaaro extortion.

Similarly, Himachal Pradesh has faced large-scale devastation, and they are seeking help from the Centre. In Maine, toxic "forever chemicals" known as PFAS were present in wastewater sludge spread decades ago as fertilizer. Farmers were told this fertilizer was safe to use and using it would help their local municipalities. Instead, these toxic chemicals devastated some of our family farmers and rendered farm land and products unusable. The University of Maine is now a leader in research on how to address and remove PFAS, and it is critical the federal government continue to support this work. I've secured nearly $33 million through the Agriculture Appropriations bill over the past five years for the Agricultural Research Service at the University of Maine to establish a new Center of Excellence for PFAS Solutions, and will continue working to help farmers who are facing the consequences of PFAS contamination through no fault of their own.
