🔵Manchester City insight under Maresca Phase of Play. Building from the back in a 9v8 practice, played in one half of the pitch. The mini goals are positioned to encourage midfield runs through the inside channels/half spaces. ➡️Get more like this on or website:

🔵🔴 PSG continue to prepare for Arsenal on Saturday night, and we spotted this positional setup at their training this week The practice is designed to encourage and develop good supporting angles when in possession in central areas of the pitch. Very likely we'll see full backs advancing to high areas vs Arsenal as PSG build. 🔹 3 players inside the area 🔹 4 players positioned around the outside 🔹 Maintain shape and spacing at all times Out of possession: 🔴 Press freely 🔴 Counter press immediately on transition🧠 ✅ Join our website to access thousands more like this. #SoccerTraining #PositionalPlay #LuisEnrique #PSG #FootballDrills #SoccerCoach #TacticalTraining #CoachingFootball #FootballDevelopment #KeepItOnTheDeck ⚽

🔝🔝🔝Check out this open-ended combination setup from Xabi Alonso. Many coaching pages are sharing this as a walk-through of team structure. That's false information of what the setup is!. In this case, the combination practice you see is open ended. Meaning, during the practice, there is no set passing sequence. From central areas, players can choose to play off support runs. An animation variation is included below that has removed one central player makes the practice much clearer. Different possible sequences have also been shown in our animation. From central areas, emphasize support angles and positioning. In this instance, the coaching point is to provide a bounce pass to a pressured player by moving towards the pressure. Follow us for all things football! If you want more content sent your way hit like on the video.
