Nomy lost her mother when she was just 11 years old. Her mum was a single mum and the only parent that she knew. Experiencing grief at such a young age is not something that is easy to navigate, in fact you never fully heal from it. This is why she keeps to herself because she has had to navigate this world on her own. She has had disagreements with housemates and she has never insulted anyone so passionately. Saying anything about her mum is a trigger and calling her a motherless hoe is definitely something that she wouldn’t take lightly. Using the fact that someone has lost a parent as an insult is extremely painful. No one would react positively to that. All she wishes for is to see her mum again and coming at her because of her mum’s death is a big trigger. This is why she refused to open up, somehow the housemates got wind of the fact that her mum is not alive and want to use it against her. Kathy has always seemed distant when it comes to the trauma her daughter Paris experienced. Kathy explains that she does not want to know the full truth because she lived it and went through it. She admits that sometimes fear can outweigh love. When Paris, Nicky, and her other children were away at school, Kathy says she would lie in bed and cry. Other times, she would lie there feeling nothing. Kathy also spoke about her own childhood during therapy. She admitted that she never fully processed her parents’ divorce and described her mother, known as “Big Kathy,” as very controlling. The therapist reframed this by suggesting that her mother controlled situations in order to keep everyone safe. That was the environment Kathy was raised in, and as the oldest child, she learned that it was her responsibility to do the same. But then the therapist made a point that really landed. The problem for law enforcement is that she had her own cameras set up, which absolutely proved that it wasn’t her. The officer refused to show her the evidence at her door because he said that she was arguing with him and not being forthright. When you look at the camera footage, it is two totally different people. He absolutely was refusing to cooperate with her. He was convinced that the camera footage showed her, even though she had camera footage to prove that it wasn’t. This is the danger of these cameras.
