I’ve just rewatched this video for a second time now 18 weeks later… This is unbelievably sad. In no way, shape, or form did this Orthodox gentleman explain the gospel of Jesus Christ. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me HAS eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24) Jesus cleanses us of all our sins and brings us from death into eternal life through his death and resurrection, not because we deserve it, but because of the great love with which he loved us. For some, this is hard to understand. “Jesus answered him, ‘What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.’ Peter said to him, ‘You shall never wash my feet.’ Jesus answered him, ‘If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.’” (John 13:7-8) Accept the gift of grace that God has given you in Christ Jesus through his death and resurrection, and you will be cleansed. You can have assurance. He’s offering it to you. ACCEPT IT! BELIEVE! The Christian life is not a selfish pursuit, constantly trying to save yourself or maintain your salvation. The Christian life is a life of assurance, constantly pursuing the salvation of the world. “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.” (John 13:14-15) Jesus lived a perfect life, not to save himself, but to serve and save those who would believe in him. We are now called to follow him in this way of living: a life of sacrificial love, NOT for our own sake, but for the sake of those who are weary and heavy laden. The gospel gives us the CONFIDENCE to do this! I know I am saved. I want you to know that you too can be saved if you believe.

This is what the almighty Rochas Okorocha has been reduced to. Before now, Rochas was the good bride of the Yoruba and Northern APC supporters. They said Rochas was going to be the Igbo president after Buhari. They praised and hailed him the same way they are praising and hailing Dave Umahi today. This should be a lesson to the Southeast politicians. I will still be here to see Umahi get his own treatment.

Last night, a man secretly took photos of me on a train from London - and admitted it when I confronted him. When I confronted him, he said, “Sorry, I have a bad habit of doing that,” and I stood by him for over five minutes after he deleted image after image of me, sat on the train - just trying to get home. I shared that video to raise awareness because this happens to far too many women like me. Women should feel safe in public spaces, free from invasive and frightening behaviour. This matter has been reported to the police, and a full investigation is underway. At the officer’s request, I have deleted the video of the man taking photos while they conduct their investigation. I will keep you updated where I can. Thank you all again for your kind words of support. No women should feel unsafe or violated in public spaces.

I took my son to our local butcher, well not too local, it’s about 30 minutes away. He’s getting to be at an age where he’s beginning to be extra compassionate. This is him taking my phone for whatever reason since he has his own, and recording the cows. My dilemma is I can’t hide from him anymore what the fate of these specific animals are. I’ve taken him to this butcher/farm off and on for years. He still loves eating his steak and ribs of course because who doesn’t. But now he’s beginning to associate the truth that the cows he goes and pets and befriends will be the same ones in the display counter where he picks out his steaks. Am I wrong for not wanting to clarify and tell him that’s the case, should I just let him find out on his own? He’s already going through puberty now as we speak, he’s been extra hormonal and angry. I don’t know if I want to add another burden for him. I don’t want to tell him the animals he loves are the ones he’s been eating. Part of me wants to just get it over with but a part of me wants to not say anything, I don’t want to speed things up for him too quick. He has no problem buying steaks from grocery stores and such. The problem I’m facing now is that this place that sells meat also is where they raise the cows for slaughter. So the ones we see on the farm will be the same ones weeks from now that we will be eating. I’m not sure what I want to do just yet but I’ll keep you posted.

I don’t know if I want to add another burden for him. I don’t want to tell him the animals he loves are the ones he’s been eating. Part of me wants to just get it over with but a part of me wants to not say anything, I don’t want to speed things up for him too quick. He has no problem buying steaks from grocery stores and such. The problem I’m facing now is that this place that sells meat also is where they raise the cows for slaughter. So the ones we see on the farm will be the same ones weeks from now that we will be eating. I’m not sure what I want to do just yet but I’ll keep you posted.
