Lost my card to place my bets at the NHC. Found it right before post, but couldn't get it in in time and got locked out. Thought the horse I was trying to bet was a guaranteed winner out the gate, but he fell off at the end. That's as good as a win in this game.

I got asked out yesterday and wasn’t going to go because of my neck pain (my spinal stenosis is flared up) but my AC went out on Sunday, faulty wire in my thermostat. AC guy is coming today. I was so miserably hot watching tv at home and he really wanted to meet me, so I did go downtown and he took me to the Roosevelt Room. He was very good looking, probably the best looking guy I’ve ever gone out with, and an attorney. I was looking cute but the pain was intense. I enjoyed the conversation and the drink. Would have been home by 10:30pm but got stuck in horrible traffic. The wind is blowing my curtains around in my room right now, and it feels like heaven!
