Sulawesi in the news for dramatically pushing back the date of oceanic crossing by hominids. Here’s a video I took on Sulawesi of some bizarre megalithic jars with animal relief carvings on the lid similar to Gobekli Tepe. The true age of these is actually unknown although a date of 2500 BC is often cited. I have my skepticisms around that, and even more so now that we know people have been there for 1.5 *million* years. Thanks for the excellent reporting Michael Button

This puts Pyramid building into context. By comparison, the pyramids in Egypt were built from roughly the same blocks. Now there are some ancient stones that actually weight over 100 ton, and there are close to 4 million blocks. According to the main stream history, 4 million of these size blocks were cut, quarried, shaped and positioned every 2-4 minutes, 24-hours per day, 7 days a week, for 25 years. When you take that into consideration and all without the electrical power or machines, you come to conclusion that this couldn't possibly be done by civilization that thousand years prior was living in the "stone age".

Europe's oldest human footprints were found at Happisburgh, Norfolk, in 2013. 🇬🇧 850,000 years old. The oldest outside Africa. They belonged to a group of early humans, Homo antecessor, moving through an ancient river estuary. Adults and children. The prints showed they were walking south, possibly following game or seasonal food sources. At the time, Britain was not an island. A vast low-lying plain called Doggerland connected it to continental Europe. The river they walked beside was an early version of the Thames, flowing northeast into what is now the North Sea. The one thing we absolutely know with certainty about the Richat Structure is that there was an incredible amount of human activity here from the dawn of toolmaking and tool use itself. The Acheulean Hand Axe is the second tool that humans ever made and this technology spread throughout Africa, Europe and Asia while no definitive evidence exists that this technology ever made it to the Americas. I think this is evidence that this technology was shared and disseminated intentionally, that neighboring humans didn’t come up with this independently on their own but this was a legacy, an institution, a skill and an industry that was shared and taught. It is perhaps the earliest evidence we have of widespread cultural diffusion throughout Africa, Europe and Asia. And yes, it’s right there at the Richat Structure which leads me to question the role that the Richat played to humans half a million years ago. After many years of pondering this question then researching this I came to learn that ancient Egyptians carved hard stones like Granites with Flint tools. This knowledge came from old books, tomb paintings & the artifact record. For many when I shared this information they were incredulous. Show me they asked, prove it they shouted, “do it yourself” they insisted. Well I’ve neither the resources nor the skills of a stone mason. But as luck would have it there are others who do and are. Here a present a professional stone mason using Flint tools to carve Quartzite.
