This is called Face in my house. She wakes me up sometimes in the middle of the night and wants this. Sometimes fo 5 minutes. Sometimes for an hour. It used to be just during the day, and just now and again but as she grows older it’s every day. And a face wash too. 😊

All our dogs have loved it when I rub their cheek/jaw skin layers together between my fingers and gently pull, just stretching out the skin. I wonder if it feels anything like doing the same on your elbow. They often really lean into it and come back for more

It’s like when other dogs lick their faces, especially around the mouth. It’s very affectionate, respectful, and loving. You ever notice a dog goes nuts licking your face, especially around the mouth? Same thing.
