I had a walking doll back in the late 50s. She walked better than this thing does. By the time I got done "doing her hair", she was scarier than old "Wednesday Addams" in this video. I still have her in storage. She lost all her clothes except her panties and her hair...well, it's even worse.

On the one hand you never really see it walking without assistance... but on the other hand I would probably never sleep again if I ever saw this happening in person.

I would have to say it’s a trick the older lady is doing with it. Sort of like a marionette except she’s subtlety rocking the doll back and forth by holding its hand making the legs move.

It's the way she's handling the doll. Everyone else is waiting for the doll to walk. The owner makes the doll walk. Watch how she handles it compared to everyone else. She tilts the doll slightly to put pressure on one foot while turning. Then, when the foot kicks out. She shifts and pivots the other directions. I have a doll at home with stiff, semi stiff, legs. Will have to try it and see if I can mimic the motion.

Lots of folks walk if you take their hand. Had one in the 80’s
