Saw this happen irl once. Truck was almost completely engulfed and the guy still made it into a parking lot to dump. Whole area smelled so bad for hours though.

Absolute smart driver to find a mostly empty parking space to unload. Saved his truck and it’s burning in a safe spot where fire can be contained.

Garbage trucks catch on fire constantly. The mixing of chemicals just a disaster. This is what they are taught to do. Find a spot to dump the load quickly let the Fire guys do their thing and save the $700,000 truck. Fix the $20,000 in asphalt tomorrow.

As this was in Australia 🇦🇺 he probably got fined for speeding, failure to indicate, illegal dumping, arson, fire without permit, no parking etc etc
