I've never seen someone take so many ridiculous steps to avoid crimping a ring terminal on something.

Thanks Fitness Dad from Nigeria! That was very helpful. @nikitabier can we please filter this bullshit out. X is beginning to feel like Facebook.

If your electrician does this sh*t, make sure to get his id and definitely verify that your homeowner's insurance premiums are up to date. You're going to need both soon.

Screw is very useful for checking if the power is on by touching it with your fingertip or tongue.

Why is a wire being attached to a piece of wood?

Sparky's profile picture

Unless that electrician has innovated a way to make wood an electrical conductor, he has created a solution to nothing. In fact, he has devolved electrical innovation 😂

The reason the wire is copper is because it can handle the heat without catching fire. What is the temperature reaction of the soldering material and the washers? Are you introducing a fire hazard that can’t handle the load coming through it?

This is so wrong from many perspectives

Wrap the wire around the screw in the same direction your going to tighten it, that way it doesn't want to push the wire out but pull it in. Don't need any of that.

Have ever heard of a lug? In electrical practice, you are not allowed to expose a coductor.

This seems extremely over engineered and also unsafe. But at least the wooden plank is now connected to the grid.

Wood is an insulator not a conductor grounding to wood will not work and is against code. 2nd to that they are using dissimilar metals which creates corrosion. Do better....

Surprising how fucking stupid it is maybe. Also who uses a wood screw to hold wires? This guy wouldn’t last til lunch working like this.

Well that’s not a good idea for many reasons. Go to school, avoid social media as your education…please. Our future relies on it
