Over her shoulder she heard an elderly woman call to her “cover yourself up.” The young lady immediately took offense to what was said and assumed that the women meant that she was wearing revealing clothes. But the elderly woman was only expressing concern as this young lady was only wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts, and she was worried she would get cold. Context matters and I can’t tell if she was picking a fight with the elderly woman or the comment of concern really just went over her head.

The other teachers saw what she did and they all started laughing at her hysterically as she tried to explain what happened and that she was making a u-turn. She was upset because the other teachers were questioning her maturity and experience because of how young she is. So what did she do? She stayed in her car, was late to her staff meeting because she was sitting there crying in the car because of that. Adulting is hard but isn’t what she did proving their point of how she can’t handle herself?
