The middle path is to limit reservation to one or two generations so that other people can utilise the reservation to join mainstream. The problem isn't reservation itself, but the policy implementation and creamy layer exploiting it to the fullest. I have seen kids of govt doctors using quota to get in IIMB. They are THE most affluent and rich people in the locality. Nobody in their senses can call this upliftment. This is only hurting people in their own communities, more than it is hurting the general categories. Solution - Once you get quota of all types - education, job and are mainstream, your kids shouldn't be allowed to use quota. Period.
