This has been a long term design. Very old. The problem lies in keeping the spherical wheels attached at high speed and overcoming inertia for direction changes. If he can figure THAT out, he is definitely on to something.

The omnidirectional ball motorcycle concept was developed by Swiss engineer Tillmann Schlootz in 2011. His design, called the 'E-Tracer,' uses gyroscopic stabilization and a spherical wheel to enable unique movement capabilities. The spherical wheel design is inspired by the 'Omniwheel' concept, which dates back to the early 20th century. Unlike traditional wheels, it allows movement in any direction without turning, making it ideal for tight spaces and urban environments.

They just have to figure out a method to secure the balls to the vehicle.
