This entire scene is like a sociopathic masterclass on damage control.

Sydney Pollack was a great actor. If he did that full time instead of directing, he may have been an even more legendary actor than director.

Like a lot of Kubrick's work, I think this movie will eventually reside with Strangelove, 2001...masterpieces created way before people understood why.

They say this character with Tom Cruise was based on Jeffrey Epstein

That scene sure gives you the chills. All that polished hospitality, and somehow you’d feel safer being shown the door. A good reminder that fine manners and good character don’t always come from the same place.

the late great Sydney Pollack did not do a lot of acting, but he was great in scenes like this.

Without any doubt one of the best scenes ever shot in the history of cinema.

Kubrick’s most unsettling night out. See the tee ↓

This movie when it came out it mesmerized me, everyone I knew then hated it, glad I have been vindicated now as i see more and more people talking about it

All I can think of is Pollack talking about the hell of doing that scene over and over. "Stanley, how many times do we have to keep reshooting this?" "Well, you want to get it right, don't you?"

I’m always skeptical when someone presents themselves as untouchable, above the law, connected to everything and everyone. 😏 Maybe some people really do have enormous networks of money, influence, lawyers, officials, favors and protection. But think about the infrastructure required to make someone truly untouchable: police, prosecutors, courts, politicians, banks, media, witnesses, records, different jurisdictions — an invisible machine almost the size of society itself. 🕸️ So sometimes I wonder how much of the legend is actual power and how much is carefully cultivated mythology about power — the image these people have of themselves and desperately want everyone else to share. Because there’s something wonderfully absurd about a man supposedly controlling half the fucking planet… 🌎👁️ until some detective from a small city police department says, “Sir, turn around and put your hands behind your back.” 😂🚔 Maybe real power exists. But the myth of unlimited power can itself be one of its most useful tools.

The Epstein File movie

Not shown here as the clip has been edited, but do you think the mix-up with the glasses was intentional?

Credit to Tom Cruise for good acting. His expression at the beginning of the scene with that sheepish “I just got found out” look is very hard to conjure voluntarily. I wonder how many takes this took.

The billiard balls change position as the camera cuts back and forth to Ziegler.

Read the book Dream Story by Arthur Schnitzler; the film is adapted from this book.

Everybody is a movie to another 🤗

"Ok, he had a bruise on his face..." This is where the suggestion comes from toward the end of R Luciferian Death Cult Initiation process. 11

Remind me, who was originally supposed to play this part?

I love this movie and I’ve always loved this room.

Wonder how many takes they did? It is a great scene.

Way to cut out the best part

This look like the government in my country

Epstein class

Correct

This was a dreadful movie.

the Doc from Death Becomes her. Always felt like producer/writer cameo.

A documentary with what we know…

This is JE.

The wrong idea about things, yet he wouldn’t sleep well if he knew who they were? Fucking pedo fuckwads
