This exact same fight scene conceptually (being held at gunpoint and getting out of it) done 50 times better with clearer camerawork, more concise editing and way better choreography in a Netflix show:

There is a difference between “this is ass” and “someone did it even better.” Not everything has to be either the greatest or the worst.

No but in my eyes it has to be better than what came before, otherwise what's the point of doing another season with most likely 3-4 times the budget.

I wish people could just enjoy, twitter so damn negative

Most of my posts are positive as fuck, rarely am I this negative.

These aren’t really the same conceptually though. The Daredevil fight is an absolute stomp meant to highlight Matt getting back into action after a long time. It’s supposed to be very quick and easy for him.

Conceptually I meant logistically in terms of props, setup and what's happening from a technical perspective, narratively and character-wise they might be different, but the quality of filmmaking doesn't have to suffer as a result.

Iko Uwais is like unbelievably good at action though mostly because he's an irl beast

Iko is definitely an ace up a sleeve but Gangs of London has fantastic fight scenes and the actors there weren’t trained martial artists, they just had a stunt team and a talented director who knew how to get the results they wanted.

I saw 2 different action scenes each choreographed shot and edited well. Sure I prefer one over the other but also respect both as they worked with the story being told.

Maybe Netflix DD with the prison oner in S3 raised the bar insurmountably high but I dunno man, I expected more from this team, kudos for effort but not much for quality of execution.
