This exchange between Rep. Burchett and Secretary Buttigieg was really nice to see yesterday. Watch till the end.

@ecp408 I love Pete always have, wanted him to be the nominee. With that being said, I don’t trust Burchett as far as I can throw him.

@ecp408 Oh, I'm not asking folks to like or even trust the Congressman. But I think it's important to appreciate moments of civility and cooperation that we need more of. I want to encourage good behavior, instead of the circus that seems to be consuming Congress.

@Toltschin Of course I'd love that - but it's probably a stretch 😅 For now, I'm just happy with any glimmer of sanity and productivity. I don't want Congress to be a chaos circus.

It's funny, I actually wasn't familiar with that term. I was like, "what word is that?" It took a little googling to figure it out. 😅 I like it! It's now part of my vocabulary.

I am in TN and usually see Rep Burchett say some pretty awful stuff. This exchange caught me by surprise and was a welcome relief. Secretary Pete's thoughtful answers were not a surprise. Thanks for posting a segment on how these things should go.

This is the kind of politics we need back in our nation. That’s why the Maga Republicans have got to go because at the end of the day we’re all fellow Americans we just don’t agree on everything.

Every now and then we meet public servants who actually try to serve *the public* 👍

Imagine how much Congress would accomplish if they were willing to have more civil and productive exchanges like this one. Sigh.
