The State Govts in India are now giving up to Rs 15 Lakh to people between the ages of 18 to 40 to start a business... This amount is being given away as an interest free loan... Several states have a variation of this scheme, but to understand it, let’s take the example of Uttar Pradesh... They have budgeted Rs 1000 crores in the last financial year to give such financial assistance to 1 lakh entrepreneurs annually, thus aiming to provide this assistance to about 10 lakh entrepreneurs in these 10 years..

I want to assure this House, whatever the Finance Commission has recommended, I follow it to the last word. In 13th Finance Commission for period 2010-11 to 2014-15, Karnataka received Rs 61,691 crores. In 14th Finance Commission for period 2015-16 to 2019-20, Karnataka received Rs 1,51,309 crores. For current 15th Finance Commission from 2020-21 till 31st march 2026, in four years Karnataka has already received Rs 1,29,854 crores. It is estimated that at the end of the fifth year, Karnataka would’ve received Rs 1,74,339 crores. This is regards to tax devolution. If you look at Grants-in Aid, in 10 years of UPA, Karnataka received Rs 60,779.84 crores. In 9 years of Modi Govt, Karnataka received Rs 2,08,832.02 crores. Over and above that, Additional Grants-in-Aid of Rs 18,005 crores has been budgeted this year for release for Karnataka. In our 10 years, Karnataka is getting Rs 2, 26,837 crores. Karnataka has also received Rs 6,280 crores as 50-year Interest Free loan. Where is Karnataka being denied money? Where is Karnataka receiving less money? - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman in Lok Sabha.

Here's how: Life insurers pay ₹2.3 lakh crores on account of surrenders/withdrawals Assuming this is a 40% surrender value*, people invested ₹5.8 lakh crores and lost ₹3.5 lakh crores in surrender penalties This may be the wealth destruction for FY25 alone This is more than what retail F&O traders lost in the last 4 years (₹2.87 lakh crores from FY22 to FY25) *Avg Persistency ratio of top 10 life insurers is ~50% for 5 yr period. Surrender value of traditional policies (majority business) is 0% to 50% b/w 0-5 yrs on multiple premium payment term policies. A 40% guesstimate was assumed for the calculation. Oversimplified to reflect the extent. Deeper study is needed for estimating the correct number.
