I love Tom Holland but this scene proves Tobey Maguire is the better Spider Man. Older, wiser, mentoring.

This parallel across Spider-Man 1 and 3 reveals everything about how Peter sees himself In Spider-Man (2002), MJ asks “Who are you?” after he saves her. He answers proudly: “Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.” He just got his powers. He’s confident. He knows exactly who he is. In Spider-Man 3, she asks the same question to Peter, not the hero, but the man. He answers: “I don’t know.” The symbiote has changed him. He no longer recognizes himself. Same question. Two completely different men.

Marvel actually created a lot of confusion by showing this scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Just notice the pattern: • Only Bruce Banner knew Spider-Man’s identity before No Way Home. Hulk had actually never met Spider-Man. • After Spider-Man: No Way Home, everyone forgot that Peter Parker was Spider-Man-including Bruce Banner. • In this scene, it’s actually Hulk who is beating Spider-Man. So, logically, Hulk shouldn’t even know that Spider-Man exists until this fight, since Bruce was in control when he arrived on Earth in Infinity War. • So basically, "HULK" saw Spider-Man for the first time in the MCU here. • Peter calls Hulk “Bruce” and refers to him as his friend, even though Bruce is in his full Hulk form, and Peter has never met Hulk before. So, technically, this scene doesn’t make sense at all. How is Marvel going to explain this confusion?

Sam Raimi reshot this Spider-Man (2002) crowd scene more than 20 times trying to get the perfect take. The problem was never the scene, it was the girl in the yellow hat, who kept making it about herself while dozens of other extras blended into the background.

‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ LEAKED — TOBEY MAGUIRE’S SPIDER-MAN FACES AN EARTH INCURSION! 🔥 A new alleged ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ leak reportedly shows Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man caught in the middle of a devastating Earth Incursion. The footage appears to show his universe collapsing as two realities begin to collide, giving us a glimpse at just how terrifying the consequences of an Incursion could be. If this scene is real, Tobey’s Spider-Man could be one of the characters used to show the devastating reality of a universe being destroyed from the inside. And with the Avengers still fighting to stop the larger multiversal crisis, this could be another major piece of the story leading directly into ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS’. Seeing Tobey’s Peter Parker forced to watch his own Earth collapse would be absolutely heartbreaking. ⚠️ALLEGED LEAK — NOT OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED BY MARVEL STUDIOS. #AvengersDoomsday #SpiderMan
