This farm had an AD system using ONLY farm slurry. Automatically “topped up” from cow shed every day. Producing 350,000 KWh per year. Surplus sold to grid. At current electricity rates farmer expected 5-7 year payback on investment. Looked like a very simple system.

Any idea what that AD plant cost? At our tariff of 0.15€/kW, that plant will only sell €52k of electricity. Are they're other income sources from this plant?

Ever wonder which Machine Learning model reigns supreme in predicting gold prices? In this free Substack post I compare several machine learning models to predict the price of gold and beat the buy-and-hold strategy over the last few year.

Has to be better that all the acres of farm ground with very high rents growing Maize and others stopping cheap food being produced

Apparently the coo slurry ones aren’t so efficient, but every little bit helps and free ultimately

@o2farms_sk @harcolm has a similar system on his farm. All of the ones I've seen (and the one I worked on) are great, except they take a lot of work to adapt to our climate - as seen, that system would freeze in about October. 😂

@paddy_dwyer2

Is it gaining a FIT or RHI payment as well?

A pile of crap?

Where is this? Could it be a viable in the UK?
