Well.. Dad sure as shit didn't handle that right. There were too many words used there that could have a big effect on that situation later. If he was TRULY worried about it, inquiring and letting the child speak freely without giving them scenarios or planting ideas would've been best, then making that appointment with a professional, not gaslighting the kid in the process..
