Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, while in Washington, is overseeing the signing of two major energy agreements worth a combined $110 billion over their lifetimes with US companies HKN Energy and WesternZagros. HKN will develop the Miran Gas Field, estimated to hold 8 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas. WesternZagros will develop the Topkhana-Kurdamir blocks, containing 5 trillion standard cubic feet of gas and 900 million barrels of oil, enough to power millions across Kurdistan and Iraq. This equates to a roughly 330% increase since levels of around 1.4 million in mid-January. The network saw a local high of nearly 9 million transactions on February 25.

⚡DTEK has delivered 1 TWh of US energy to Ukraine and Europe – enough to power millions of homes this winter. Through D․TRADING we`ve completed our first LNG cargo purchased on an FOB basis, managing the full journey from Louisiana to Lithuania. The Gaslog Houston arrived in Klaipėda yesterday with 160,000 cubic metres of LNG. Once re-gasified, this gas will flow to Ukraine, Baltic countries, Poland and neighbouring markets, strengthening energy security across Central and Eastern Europe. Ukraine needs around 4 bcm of gas imports this winter following russian attacks on its production and storage infrastructure. We're working to secure additional cargoes through northern and southern corridors. Watch the video to see how we're building energy bridges between US producers and European markets.

NEWS: A massive $419 million Tesla Megapack battery energy storage system has just been completed by Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub. These 444 Megapacks help form three giant battery components that will deliver 1.6 gigawatt hours of energy storage when they come online next year. That’s enough energy to power 200,000 homes during peak periods, adding critical storage to Victoria’s electricity grid. The entire project will cost $1.6 billion.

This natural gas was first discovered in Sui, Dera Bugti, in 1952 a discovery that became the backbone of Pakistan’s energy supply. For decades, massive 36-inch pipelines have carried this gas nearly 800 kilometers away, fueling industries, cities, and households in Punjab and Karachi. Yet, in a cruel irony, the very land that gives birth to this energy remains deprived of it. The indigenous people of Sui, Pirkoh, Dera Bugti, Loti, and surrounding areas living within just one kilometer of these gas fields are still forced to live without gas even for basic cooking and baking needs. Flames burn in distant cities, while darkness and deprivation persist at the source. This is not a shortage of resources. It is a failure of justice.

Tesla’s new Megapack factory in Houston will be their most capable yet, with an annual production capacity of 50 GWh—25% more than their other two Megapack factories. Once fully ramped, Tesla’s three Megafactories will produce a combined 130 GWh of battery energy storage a year, enough to power ~50 million homes. That's nearly 4.2x more battery energy storage than Tesla deployed in all of 2024. The Houston facility will be the first to manufacture the all-new Megapack 3 in late 2026. This product will partly source LFP cells from Tesla's brand new LFP manufacturing plant in Nevada (next to Giga Nevada). The Nevada facility will begin production in the coming months, making it the first time Tesla will produce and source LFP cells domestically — and from its own operations. Saudi Arabia is now desperately pumping oil west through pipelines to Yanbu on the Red Sea to bypass the strait. If Iran hits Yanbu, analysts say 5-6 million barrels a day disappear from global markets and oil could hit $150. Brent crude has already jumped from the $70s to $115 since the war started.
