This for several reasons

Nico poking fun at Nero while also having an actual conversation about the whole situation, Nero pondering about himself and the family he finds he has by blood, the poke at ‘Devil May Cry’….always just a nice scene imo

Also the sigh Nero has after he’s done glancing at his dad’s book and tosses it on the dashboard with the camera focused on it while saying “ They’re gone now anyway… “

Vergil personally gives him that book and tells him to ‘hold onto it until then’ after promising he won’t lose next time so part of me wonders if he’s thinking about that too.

the scene lowkey mirrors dante and lady's convo at the end of 3, both of them lost family that night and lady affirms dante's humanity through his tears while nico affirms nero's by telling him that its okay that he didnt cry over losing his father cause she didnt either

It’s always so nice to see some real emotion from these characters, Nero hiding his sadness, Nico awkwardly comforting him in a way, it’s all so well made

I feel like it was a missed opportunity not having nero say :"devils never cry"

I also like this scene bc it's the opposite of the first scene in the game where Nero asks Nico the same question about "saving the man who killed your father"

i love nico so much
